I can confirm it happen to me too. My exact problem is that whenever i stop using the macbook pro retina 2015 13" (basic model) for a while, it can't reconnect to wifi (usually disconnect but reconnect when i start to use it again).

Happened directly after updating to mojave (I updated only recently).

Reboot always fix the problem, but disconnect wifi / reconnect doesn't work. Tried in all mode (recuperation, etc..) problem repeat. Tried all clear memory etc comand (nvram or smthg like that), Tried the solution deleting the wifi, tried the solution creating profile, renewing DHCP, unactive the wifi in network, problem repeat all the time.

Wanted to downgrade to highsierra since it was working just fine before but the link they sent me are not working (either app store refuse to download or at the end of the download put an error message on some files and can't finish it).

Will try without my USB dock and with clean install of mojave, as well as deleting all my wifi profiles (or maybe just reinstalling without icloud if option appear).

If any of you guys know where i can find an alternate source for high sierra would be interested if re install not working. will update here.

I can confirm after a clean install and formatting the disk the problem repeat. I use an USB dock with keyboard and mouse, and I suspect it have something to do with it. Because without the USB dock connected it seems (still to confirm) that the problem is not present anymore.

I tried changing which USB port I use for the dock but it didn't solved the problem.

Doesn't apply to the 2015 MB Pro.

Your specific issue is because you're using a 2.4GHz network and it's receiving interference from a USB3 device that is poorly sheilded. If you plan to keep your dock then change your network to 5GHz.
BRILLIANT, thanks, solved my issue.

hi, is anyone else having trouble connecting to WiFi. My internet connection is Definitely working, because it’s working with my iPhone.

But on my Mac, the Wi-Fi looks like it’s logged in but I can’t get a connection. Sometimes, when I turn it on and turn it off again, it helps. But not always. Can anyone help?
I had the same problem on my Macbook pro mid 2012, & it was the router wifi security, I have Netgear Orbi & security was set to WPA2 personal, so I turned wifi on the modem from my Internet service provider which was set to WPA/WPA2 personal & wifi on Mojave was working without any problems. I just changed security on Orbi router to WPA/WPA2 Personal & now it is flying without any problems. Also I want to add that i was trying everything that came to my mind trying to fix the issue, nothing was working, I was trying everything that I could find online & nothing was working.
I hope that this is going to be helpful.

My MBP15 (Mid-2015) can no longer connect to Wi-Fi after the latest supplemental update. Tried the diagnostics route and a restart -- no change. I can use my iPhone as a hotspot, but the network icon in the menu bar acts as if it is still looking for networks, even though it actually lists the connection ON.

This exact thing happened to me, I was almost accepting my fate to use a prehistoric cable, but then I found this **** that I never believed would work.. But it did:

Go into /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/

Delete these files:

com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
com.apple.network.identification.plist
NetworkInterfaces.plist
preferences.plist

(I didn't have the "com.apple.network.identification.plist" but you might, idk)

Now reboot. Maybe it's not the same issue, but it sounds like what happened to me. Hope it helps.

Wow, this worked for me! Many thanks to everyone here for the great help you all provide.
The only problem I have now is I can't ping Cloudflare DNS 1.1.1.1 or 1.0.0.1 which I could before this mess happened.
BTW, running a 13" MacBook Pro 2015, when suddenly got message that it had no internet connection two days ago. Before that never had one problem with this system. Anyhoo thanks for the fix! You saved a digital life today!
