Will AirPods Max be available for in-store pickup on and after 12/15?

Wondering if AirPods Max will have any availability in store for pickup on and after 12/15. I read one article where it said Apple was selling all units online and to reserving any for in store - that seems odd to me and not the pattern for every other release. I guess we'll find out on Tuesday morning....

The Apple store near me you can no longer go in the store. They've walled off the store and you only have 3 counters with glass to do your transaction with them right at the entrance. Kinda like going to a bank teller. And you have to order online and select store pickup then it will give you a time when you can go and pickup your item. They don't sell anything directly at the store anymore in my area.

I'd be surprised if Apple didn't started advertising in-store pickup from Monday. They did the same for HomePod mini, which allowed me to grab a pair on launch day even though I hadn't pre-ordered them.

Anyone know what time they'll be available to order on Dec 15th? I'm thinking they'll have some in local stores much like the mini as mentioned above

No idea, but I'll start checking the site for pickup store availability on Monday.
 
I’d be very surprised if they didn’t have any for click and collect. All other recent launches, even if they were sold out online or delivery pushed many weeks back, there is always some left for launch day click and pick up.
 
I did this for M1 Macs...pre-orders slipped quite a bit. But on the morning of their release, I opened the Apple Store app on my phone and saw I could order for pickup. I also took note that the stock stayed active for several hours, since most people don't realize this is possible. So I assume this might occur in your local apple store, possibly around the time it opens or earlier (mine was stocked at about 8am local time).

I did the same thing for my m1. It took about a week for store stock to deplete plate but online ordering was pushed back for weeks. Not sure if it’s still is

My money would be on only the space grey and silver models being available for immediate pick-up.
 
If there is stock for click and collect at the apple store, what time would it be released? 8am local time tomorrow?

Just want to see if anyone else has experience for launch day pick up for products which are sold out online, eg iPhones, M1 MacBook, HomePod mini etc.
 
Australia here and they released stock for in store pick up at 6am local time. Picking mine up after lunch today YAYYY

Only space grey and silver available though but the other colours look too flashy for me anyway

Past experience for me with other devices in the UAE is that stock goes live at 6am although I have seen it earlier.
 
Definitely setting an alarm for tomorrow morning. I really don’t want to wait until the end of January for my order to ship.
