Will Amazon carry the iPad?

ugh, just went to the apple store to play with the iPad finally and I was really tempted to get it. they have all 3 models in stock. but it's all good - left without buying, and at least now I have some idea of what it's like and will see whether I can hold out until amazon carries it or not.
my first impression is that it's heavy, but beautiful. pictures really pop on that display and the applications that were made for the ipad such as weatherbug(?) look really nice. too bad they didn't load more HD apps like NYtimes or ABC/Netflix. Would have really like to see how those performed/looked. Also, there was some issues with the maps in general - none of them were showing up. said there was a connection error (though getting on the internet was no problem). i don't think the weight will be an issue, cause normally, you wouldn't be standing there, holding it up, while using it. i think in your lap or on a surface, it'll be just fine. not a big fan of the keyboard yet - haven't quite gotten the hang of typing on it, but i'm sure it's just a matter of training the hands.

I'm definitely waiting. In my city, tax is 9.75% so I'd be paying almost $60 on tax for the 32GB. Might as well wait until Amazon gets it and use that $60 towards Amazon Prime!

Oh, and I finally got to the Apple store today to play with one. It's just as cool as they make it sound! I swear 25% of the store was tables of ipads for people to play with and every single one was in use for the 30 minutes I was in the store. Can't wait for the 3G version to come out.

Eventually they will sell it. Look for them to start to stock it after the summer when all of the iPad mania dies down. I would expect to see them sell the HP Slate as well.
