It isn't:

Apple doesn't count days! Technology runs very fast...

They want to launch products according to competition rules....

Haswell processor and wi-fi ac are both ready and PCI-e SSD can be included...only better graphics can increase the cost....

I bet APPLE will update their MACs in 2013 (most possible to happen)!

The average time between new Mini's is 500 days. Were nowhere near that yet. 10 months is just past halfway.

APPLE is "THE SILENT DANCER"!!!!

today...
the new iMac has the latest Intel processors, faster graphics, next generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi and faster PCIe flash storage!

tomorrow....(late Oct.2013? maybe earlier??!!!!!)
new MAC MINI is coming....

AS EXPECTED....PCI-e SSD, Wi-Fi AC, new graphics, Haswell processors...

Statistics = good ...BUT... Money = better !!!! Market drives the numbers...;)

I think the Mac mini may get a new look next month? Why else wouldn't it have got a silent update like the iMac?

I am also waiting for the new Mac Mini.....but APPLE wants to go "step-by-step"!!!!

Considering the Mac Mini uses some common parts with the MBP one would expect the MBP to be updated before or at the same time as the Mini

I hope you're right. I love the Mac Mini so much I sold my iMac to get another one. I really don't wan't a 2012 model though. I wan't to see a totally new design. Wishful thinking right?

I am not sure if you see a totally new design!

You will be lucky, if you only see an update this year....

No new mac mini tomorrow. Sorry.

Supplies are too high and there is no competitive imperative to do this. All engineering resources have been working the Mac Pro... well those that weren't doing IOS7 and the 5S... and the new Ipads.

30% chance (at best).

Maybe not tomorrow...but it is possible by the end of October...silently ... I guess!

APPLE will update Mac Mini silently. When? Possibly in the next couple of weeks....(in my opinion).

The new Mac Mini is going to have the latest Intel processors, faster graphics, next generation parts such as 802.11ac Wi-Fi, TB2 and faster PCIe flash storage!

A redesigned outer case? Nothing heard...

Statistical patterns have indicated a wider update cycle, this is true... but in this case, everything is here and APPLE doesn't have to modify its production line to support the newer configuration...

In few words, a "silent update" is coming! ;)

You've posted several times that a silent update is coming and probably in two weeks. Is this wishful thinking or is this based on non-public knowledge that you have?

A logical approach, nothing else....many people are disappointed and I am trying to explain them why they shouldn't be....

This is the most up-to-date approach:

The "400-day" refresh cycle is coming to an end soon. I bet they just throw in the newest processor to kick up performance a little more.

If the MacMini slips into April without a refresh, they are possibly redesigning the entire package (which they should next year to further reduce the size and simplify the insides) around the Haswell which comes out in late 2014. When Apple products slip far out of refresh, they usually are getting a redesign.

Mini is prime for a design refresh. It still has FIREWIRE. It's also odd that there are 4 USB ports on such a device. There is a lot of bulk for such a low-end device. I'd expect it to shrink drastically in the next couple years.

I highly doubt it'll come with Firewire, likely a second thunderbolt port.

This entire article is based on pretty much nothing concrete, except the hope that the mac mini will be refreshed because the others got refreshed.

My fault. When I clicked on it, it was a bad page. Having said that, the page says nothing about an upcoming Mac mini so I will just patiently wait and see if they update it silently.

oh..
hahah, i taught you were being funny :D

oops… the things that get lost in translation over the net never sizes to amaze me… :D
