Will EyeTV let me turn an iMac in to a dedicated TV?

I just paid for the EyeTV software and bought the HDHomeRun network dual-tuner thingy separately.
that's probably what I should have done, but I got the eyeTV hybrid (2009). Works beautifully, but it's single-tuner.
My experience with EyeTV Hybrid and G5 iMac
Very simply: it made the cooling fans come on big time. I switched to a
C2D 24" iMac a few months ago (not because of the EyeTV thing), and it's
like night and day - no noticeable drain at all on the iMac.
Now I have a different issue: after the digital switch, it doesn't work at all.
Apparently, using EyeTV with the cable straight out of the wall isn't allowed
any more, so I need to find a tuner/antenna solution . . .
