Thanks. Then it is like the other ones on the PC. I think my problem is I have no idea how to save the game so I have to play the early missions over an over and I am not a console person at all. I wasn't finished with one early mission and I saw some dude riding a bike so I got out of my car and knocked down the biker and starting riding his bike. After a few feet, get the message "Mission failed.".

To save, bring up your phone (on Xbox this is 'up' on the Dpad), select the little cloud symbol called 'Quick Save' and you are good to go! Like I say, just finish off the first couple missions, the first being the bank heist, and the second being the car repossession, and then if I recall correctly thats where the basic storyline quests end and you can choose your missions after that.

This part of the game will also tell you how the different controls work like focus and other nifty features that are great additions to the game for things like pursuits and races.

They haven't announced it for PC yet, let alone Mac OS X.

You can always create a hard drive partition on your Mac using Boot Camp and install Windows there to play games that aren't available on Mac OS X.

You don't need to reformat your hard drive to add/remove it, but I definitely recommend backing up important data first.

For light gaming you can use VMware or Parallels, but for a 3D game like GTA V I would recommend running Windows natively with Boot Camp.

Unfortunately it's not possible to use Boot Camp with an external hard drive.

Thank you. I did a few missions and saved my game. This game is packed with many surprises. Actually starting to get the hang of the console.

GTA 5 is not even on PC. Rockstar as of now has stated that Grand Theft Auto V is only for PS3 and Xbox 360. No plans for PC release have been announced. It is not even known if Rockstar is even in development of a PC version. Grand Theft Auto IV is available on PC. You can purchase and install high graphic mods to allow the game to look and run similar to Grand Theft Auto V.

----------

As a rule, Rockstars spend one year for releasing their games on pc. For example, Gta4 was released on pc after one year.

False. Grand Theft Auto IV launched on April 29, 2008 for PS3 and Xbox 360. Grand Theft Auto IV launched for PC December 2, 2008. exactly 7 months after console launch.

If gaming (especially with new games) is a big priority the mac is the wrong type of PC to get. PC's running OSX don't get the cream of the crop in gaming, you still need windows for that...

I used to have a highly overclocked, killer gaming machine. It was noisy and I had to open it up at least once a month to remove dust from it.

I bought an iMac in June 2012. I bought the highest end iMac available at the time. (3.4Mhz i7 with Radeon 6970m graphics) I run Bootcamp on my machine for games and can play most of them at 2560x1440 with everything turned up to max. It is only the odd game I can't do this with.

I also have an all-in-one on my desk that takes up less space is much quieter.

Rockstar brought the previous GTA games to OSX in recent years. So yes there is some chance they could bring GTA V to MacOSX.... but realistically the delay between PC release and the Mac port could take at least 1 year or more.

Those games (GTA3, Vice City, SA) are a decade or more old and they arent native ports - they are using a form of WINE.

There's also Max Payne 3 which uses pretty much the same engine as the newest GTA games.. on the other hand it too uses said version of Wine... namely Transgaming's Cider.

But yeah, GTA5 has to come to the PC first before you can start thinking of a Mac version. It's been the usual for PC versions of GTA to be delayed at least 6 months. It's not unusual.

On the other hand there's been a game or two that skipped that step and went from console to Mac directly. Sonic Tennis is a recent example. There was also an military FPS game that went from PS3 direct to Mac without a PC version but I forgot the name.

That probably would never be the case with Rockstar games though.

Selling your PS3 before the PS4 is even out, that sounds excessive.

Considering there's no backwards compatibility either (apart from apparently being able to stream selected PS3 games).

To be honest, since getting my PS3, I've not gamed on a PC since. It's nice having a dedicated console for it, plus, they're getting pretty cheap now.
