That's my thinking too, as well. I like to use more mult-purpose products and the iPad is good for that, but the kindle is really a nice product that I can hold for hours. Its a great experience imo.

I've had the Oasis on my wish list since its announcement. Alas, it's never gone on sale.Would love to have one for reading in the bath tub.

I use my iPad Pro 12.9 for Kindle Books and general reading. I sometimes jump out of the book and surf the web but it's great being able to switch right back to where I was.
I don't know what IP67 is, but I do know that the Oasis is not waterproof. Must be the Kobo.
Ah, yes. It was the Kobo. Guess that was part of the reason I didn't get the Oasis. Almost perfect but not quite.
