There is no reason to doubt what Apple has said.
Has apple actually said it will be exclusively as a download?, i see nothing on their website saying it will be exclusively available as a download
Lion will only be offered as a digital download. End of thread.![]()
I hate to be pedantic but replace ship with release in your title and it works a lot better.
100% and there will never be a DVD available. For sure.
Oh really? Hello Steve!
What about Macs purchased with pre-installed Lion? Restore DVDs?
Ah, okay Steve, sorry - you did say 100%![]()
This just in: Apple are going to supply Lion via thumb drive, delivered by carrier pigeon. There, now that's news!

I have the preview installed, but it didn't create a partition.
Do you think it will be a downloadable iOS. disk image that we can keep and burn. I know no one knows. And its probably been mentioned a million times already. But what if we want to put a new drive. Will we have to pirate it and then burn it. LOL

I'm not darrellishere but anyway I had the recovery partition until I enabled FileVault. Now it's gone both from DU and Opt boot. How do you know it didn't create a partition? I know someone who installed it, and the "recovery" partition doesn't show up in DU, but it is still there, as it is available as a boot volume when you hold down OPT upon boot!![]()
