Will our current gen macs be worthless in 10 years?

Still have my Blue & White G3

I still have a functional B&W G3, purchased in April 1999, upstairs in my office. Still use it for e-mail (Outlook Express 4), word processing (MS Word 5.1) and light desktop publishing (PageMaker 7). Web-surfing under Netscape 7.02 leaves a lot to be desired, however.

I made a lot of money on my Mac Pro. It is used for extensive trading of derivatives. So it has positive value as a tool..

I will probably buy a new one when Haswell processor is announced and put in the Mac Pros by 2012.

I bought mines in 06 so that means 6 years of use, I will probably donate the 06 model to someone.
