Chances are developers get the GM on wednesday, then public release 7 or 14 days later. It'll be out by the 23rd 100%.Thanks.
So I guess that means if I want iOS 10 this week, I'll have to run the beta.
No need to downgrade. The GM OTA will apply just fine over the public beta. Although, some people prefer to wipe their phones and install the update fresh. So if I have the public beta right now will I get the GM OTA at some point or do I need to downgrade to 9.3.5 and delete the public beta profile first?
Not necessarily. Once the develops get the GM, you can download it from the internet and side load it to your device. Once you see that its been released to developers, just google iOS 10 GM ipsw and I am sure you will find lots of sites that will offer the download.Thanks.

You'll have to register for the beta program (profile files are on other subs) but the version released tomorrow is most likely the GM.Thanks.

I've ran betas before. I just wasn't sure if I wanted to this time on the phone. My MBP is on beta now though. You'll have to register for the beta program (profile files are on other subs) but the version released tomorrow is most likely the GM.
It's not really a beta at the point when GM is released - but if you do register your device to get the GM a couple weeks early, you'll also be prompted to install future beta versions. I'm not sure you can just delete the beta profile without having to reinstall.I've ran betas before. I just wasn't sure if I wanted to this time on the phone. My MBP is on beta now though.
As I said, I've ran betas before and unless something has changed, I think all you have to do is delete the beta profile. I chose to reinstall, so I'm not sure. It's not really a beta at the point when GM is released - but if you do register your device to get the GM a couple weeks early, you'll also be prompted to install future beta versions. Anyone - if he or she installs the public ipsw as an iTunes upgrade when it's released then deletes the beta profile, would that put the phone back on a normal track without having to reinstall?
I don't believe public beta testers get the GM that is released to developers. It's not really a beta at the point when GM is released - but if you do register your device to get the GM a couple weeks early, you'll also be prompted to install future beta versions. I was under the impression he was going to install a dev profile tomorrow. Did I get that wrong, OP?I don't believe public beta testers get the GM that is released to developers.
What? There are no "versions" of the GM build. On Wednesday the GM aka release candidate aka final build of iOS 10.0 will be seeded to developers-only, for purposes of compiling and submitting Apps to to Apple for review. All Public users (beta tester or not) will wait for the official release, probably Sept. 14th.I assume that the GM will not be released Wednesday, but the developer version. I haven't downloaded the Public Beta and I'm trying to decide if I'm going to do so now or wait.
Any theories on GM release date?
Why do you think the that it will be on Sept 18th?It's a good bet the iPhone 7 will release on the 16th, so iOS 10 should be out sometime before then
The iPhone typically goes on sale at retail on a Friday. Usually, it's 9 or 10 days after the Event. If that pattern were followed, public sale would be on 9/16.Why do you think the that it will be on Sept 18th?
Last year if was 2 weeks after the pre-orders which was a change. I hope that they do release on the 9/16, but if they do follows last years pattern it will be Sept 23rd launch. The iPhone typically goes on sale at retail on a Friday. September 16. And this is a good bet because following Apple trends the phone will go on pre-sale this Friday or Saturday and release the following Friday. Why do you think the that it will be on Sept 18th?
Not last year. it was 2 weeks after the pre-sales. A very, very long 2 weeksSeptember 16. And this is a good bet because following Apple trends the phone will go on pre-sale this Friday or Saturday and release the following Friday.
You're right my bad. I hope it's not that long this year! Not last year. it was 2 weeks after the pre-sales. A very, very long 2 weeks
