Simple answer: No.
Long Answer: Minor (internal) changes only.

Im not entirely sure what people are expecting them to change

Airflow = perfect
Hard-disks = could go to 8 bays/space for SSDs

Other than that, nothing.

It is gorgeous...except for one little thing. The power cord covers up the ethernet connection port. Sooooo, because of a modem being out (awaiting a new one), I cannot have internet access AND power at the same time, which means, a pain in the butt for the power situation. Come on, how stupid is this? I'm a two decades plus Mac user and just got my mac pro and cannot believe someone didn't twig to this.

I don't get how the power cord blocks the ethernet ports that are eleventy miles away from each other.

In fact, the power cord is in an ocean of solitude up there.

Cause he's probably talking about the MBP and doesn't realize he can turn the Magsafe connector around so the cable points away from him as opposed to connecting it backwards thus blocking the ethernet...

I have to say I think it's blocking it....a little bit. Depends on how you see it

:)

:p
See, I never think of that. There's a whole four-letter-word between Mac and Pro in the MacBook Pro, and I can't imaging mixing them up in any way. Even the forums are in separate sections... Desktops and Notebooks. It takes effort to stumble into the wrong section.

I'm sure you're right on both counts, sadly.

hypnotizing

don't mind..great opportunity to post the pic, thank's for that!

actually i'm starring at it for quite some time now. pure perfection.

I was thinking about that problem, too.
Would be really nice if they can keep the bottom line of the hole and bottom right rectangle flush.

Sorry for my english btw

edit.: ups..i do prefer the power cord within an ocean of solitude!

You would sacrifice a USB port and Two Thunderbolt ports for that?

and those two additional bays under your power supply, too..

..but only with photshop, as i'm far from being an engineer. Personally, i do not need tb, so that was kind of a compromise.

Doubt it. Mac Pro is gorgeous and have looked the same for years

Spoken like a true nerd! (No hassle, I'm in complete agreement with you!)

I agree that there won't be much of a change, but an elegant solution to incorporate SSDs (plural) would be sweet.

I still have to consciously tear my eyes away from my 1,1 sitting up on my desk. One would be so lucky to have owned and used one.
