I disagree totally. Apple needs to be significantly more agile than they are. They need to take less than 6 years to update a top tier pro system and they need to push the boundaries. Otherwise others will do it for them. Those that need the MP have work to be doing and have better things to do that give adoring puppy-eyed looks in the direction of their computer. Any performance that's left on the table translates to days or even weeks per year of lost productivity. This is real money being tossed out the window.

I'm just glad it's not me that needs such a system.

You probalby misunderstood my post (propably it was my fault due to my improper english). I didn't mean that I'd go for a 2013 MacPro nor find it acceptable to wait insane 6 years for a MacPro update which is way too expensive. I just meant that I prefer the choosen Xeon as it it a prooven workstation CPU class over the newest AMDs which doesn't even have reliable TB3 support (as far as I know).
