Wrong forum. Should be posted on the iOS 11 forum. Almost all on this forum are already on iOS 12 beta.
You can always go back to 11.4.1 as long as it’s signed by Apple of course.Do people not remember the fiasco that was last year's updates? Multiple critical flaws for months and months after release, not really reaching any kind of steady state until 11.3. Part of me really wants to play around with the new shiny features, but another part of me still feels burned and that Apple needs to re-earn my trust.
That’s exactly the point of iOS 12. They’re fixing their reputation of releasing buggy software by releasing a major X.0 update mostly focused on stability.Do people not remember the fiasco that was last year's updates? I said they have to EARN my trust again. The way I see it, it's all just words right now. They have been having buggy releases for the last three years at least. That points to an institutional problem where software quality was devalued over an extended period of time. I really find it hard to believe that they can turn everything around in just one year. In fact, as a software developer myself, I know exactly how years of neglecting quality can snowball into a situation that is very difficult, time consuming, and costly to correct. Ever hear of technical debt? I'll believe they've turned things around when after a month or two I don't hear of any critical bugs. That’s exactly the point of iOS 12. Earning people’s trust back begins here.
I feel the exact way iOS 11 severely cheapened the experience of my iPad Pro compared to iOS 10 and I remember multiple apps I relied on were broken for a period of time. I will be waiting atleast a week to make sure no show stopping bugs are found.Do people not remember the fiasco that was last year's updates? It depends on if you want new betas of the next version (12.0.x) or not. And there is no 'switch' to turn onI’m on public beta. Is it a good idea to get off beta program and go with the final release of iOS 12,or stay on? I think if I go off beta, I have to redownload iOS 12, instead of just turning on a switch.
