So I want to do this with my devices as well, but I have Health data that I want on my phone after restoring. For other apps, it really isn’t a problem since pretty much everything is backed up to the cloud these days... but how do you plan on restoring Health data when setting up your device as new?Yes I will, via iTunes. And I will set my phone as new.
What are you going to do?
I said they have to EARN my trust again. The way I see it, it's all just words right now. They have been having buggy releases for the last three years at least. That points to an institutional problem where software quality was devalued over an extended period of time. I really find it hard to believe that they can turn everything around in just one year. In fact, as a software developer myself, I know exactly how years of neglecting quality can snowball into a situation that is very difficult, time consuming, and costly to correct. Ever hear of technical debt? I'll believe they've turned things around when after a month or two I don't hear of any critical bugs.
Not when the phone you own on release day is pre-installed with iOS12Actually you do have a choice![]()
Might as well. My iPhone XS will be in the mail. It also improves performance on older devices, so there's not much downside.
Compared to iOS 11, yes. But I'm more interested in the results compared to iOS 10 and below.iOS12 is supposed to fix stability issues and improve user-experience per Apple. If you were to believe that, this would be the version to be on once its released and should be better than iOS11.
Exactly. Besides, even if we turned out to really hate what they did with it, there's no getting round the fact that we'll have to have it eventually. Never had a problem so far though. Aside from back when the single lock screen became double lock screen a few OS's ago, most things turn out to be an improvement each time it gets an upgrade. So I'm fairly happy. There's no reason not to, performance is a lot better and less buggy.
is it? is itttttttt? they always say this and its NOTThere's no reason not to, performance is a lot better and less buggy.
Apple has my trust. Nothing crashed or burned on their watch; they replaced a battery for free; we all like our iPhones even after having them for ages.I said they have to EARN my trust again.
