well, he's the last American guy left. he has the fastest serve around....what's not to like?
probably because of my mom, she's a real tennis nut, and has never liked roddick. I don't know why![]()
He needs to get back with Mandy Moore if he's ever going to win again.probably because of my mom, she's a real tennis nut, and has never liked roddick. I don't know why![]()

The Daily Mail said:....the 20-year-old's trademark shriek reached a peak of 103.7 decibels - equivalent to the sound of a pneumatic drill.
Miss Sharapova's previous highest recorded grunt was 102.7db, recorded at Wimbledon last year and equivalent to a small aircraft landing.
The statuesque blonde - who won the tournament in 2004 - started yesterday's match shrieking at a relatively low-level - only 89.3db - but that rapidly increased as the match progressed.
<snip>
Miss Sharapova is recorded as being the loudest female player in world tennis.
Behind her is Venus Williams who has been registered at 102.8 db; third is fellow Russian Elena Dementieva at 95.3db and fourth is Venus Williams' sister Serena at 88 decibels.
By contrast Tim Henman registers 61.6 decibels, while even the noise of a rock band (80db) and a Harley Davidson (85db) would be drowned out by some of the players The threshold above which noise is painful is 140 db.
Damn...that's loud!
where the hell did you find that?
i'm wondering the same thing. and what about nadal?
lol great facts, where the hell did you find that?
Nadal won today!great match, anyone watch?
on Wimbledon now they just discussed the grunting, and they think it is controllable and a tactic against the oponent!
Right, Nadal/Federer is about to start. If either wins it will be historic, Feds is going for 5 in a row to equal Borg which I must admit up until a few years ago I thought would never be equaled.
And if Nadal wins he'll also match Borg at the first since to win the French and Wimbledon consecutively.
I'm going for Federer in 3 sets. with one tiebreak set.
just finished watching the final, what a great match, who else watched it?
Watched the whole thing. It was a really great final. And no rain which was also good. Not sure that the mixed doubles final (coming on now) will be so lucky. Where I am (on the other side of London to be fair) it's clouding over with some very dark clouds
Lot's of UK interest in the mixed doubles: there's a British player in it (amazingly)...
@robbieduncan: Jamie Murray is in the mixed doubles with Jelena Jankovic. Is that going to be on TV next?
Yep. Next match on Centre. It's going to be on BBC1 in a few minutes. They altered the schedule to show it! Looks like the weather is still OK over Wimbledon from the TV.
