Windows 11 is really good these days and gets out of the way. As someone who uses both macOS and Window 11, I can easily go between the 2 and not have any issues.

It's been a while since I've used Window 10.
I feel that Windows 11 is the worst ever at this point. I am actively avoiding the 24H2 update as it is causing significant amount of issues. It is insane how many problems this update is causing and problems are posted EVERYWHERE. I have actually had to roll back many client's computers to 23H2 as their applications completely broke after the update. And Gamers are facing a lot of issues too.

Windows 11 has a much better design and look than Windows 10 in my opinion.

Yeah I agree and why I upgraded day 1. I like the new look and the multi-monitor support is much improved. But since 24H2 I have just begun to despise Windows at this point. I would like more games to come to Mac so I can fully get rid of Windows for good.

Yeah, MacOS is superior to Windows and doesn't have any of the random glitches I see from Windows.

If you don't want to play on that PC, I'd just put Linux on it.
More similar to OSX experience and works a lot better.

I have Windows only for gaming or at work to get paid for doing nothing productive.

Windows is always years behind the competition, the documentation is bad and it's very user-unfriendly to handle.

I was using windows last several months and preferred 10 over 11 due to the extra execution steps
and trackpad limits involved in 11.

seems to me that windows is more open now than macOS as I could run programs freer and stronger as I have troubles with third party apps like VLC-Foobar and Vivaldi on my M1s which ran better in windows 10.

if I had to chose between 10 and Monterey and 11 and sequoia, I would switch to windows
because  has become very regulated and tighter using 3rd party applications lately.
(what is 3rd party programs anyway.... am I using the proper terminology?)

i'm happy with  and M1 tho, since I am not computing and creating as much this year.

Is there some kind of reference document online for fixing as many of the Windows problems as possible? Especially coming from Mac?

For example:
- the tiny fonts. Change font size in accessibility or whole screen zoom?
- font anti aliasing. Any way to make it prettier? Any way to switch to a more Mac-like font?

- Is there some enterprise tweak to get O/S updates out of the way?
- Is there some one click tool to just nuke all the tracking?
- Is there some way to kill copilot and drop-in replace it with onboard AI?
etc

It's a lot of work, but I don't have all the apps I need on linux and to upgrade to M4 from Intel with the same spec 15"/16GB/1TB for me is >$2k, which is more than 10x the price of what I paid for this one with the old intel CPU.
Windows is about half that price (due to upgradable SSD), so I'd be paying $1000 for MacOS.
