I'm hating windows 7 (i have the full and final release through MSDN)

Will be going back to vista soon i expect.

Wow, I thought I'd never see this. What happened to all the "vista sux, xp 4 lyfe!! lol" people? It just goes to show you there will ALWAYS be people who think the old is better than the new.

Back on track. Has anyone had the incredible laggy mouse syndrome leading to complete system lag? I'm using Windows 7 Professional, full release (not even release candidate but full release) installed on a mac pro with bootcamp 2.0 or 2.1 whatever the latest 2.x update is for leopard bootcamp.

Your problem is that you're running Windows on a mac. Apple's drivers are HORRIBLE, and by HORRIBLE, I mean they shouldn't even include drivers, they're just that bad. If it works, that's great, but more often then not they don't work, and you're F'ed.

Try going to device manager and uninstalling the Apple mouse drivers, and use generic Windows ones. Also, try uninstalling all Apple drivers that you don't need.

If I were in your situation, I'd just wipe and restart. I couldn't get wireless to work on my vista system, I wiped, and it worked out of the box... sometimes Windows can be like that. Then only install the Apple drivers that you NEED. Where ever possible, use generic or manufacturer drivers. That's what I had to do for my MBP, but then Windows worked great.

EDIT: Something you should keep in mind is that (as of Leopard's release) Apple doesn't have their drivers Windows certified, which means that MS doesn't guarantee that they'll work with Windows.

I have the Windows 7 RC build for my work Laptop, and it's working just fine. Even with UAC on.

Edit: Well for the most part... I do have a lot of issues here and there, but it's still not as bad as Vista is what I'm trying to say.

Hi I would like to be one of the first to say WINDOWS 7 FAILS BADLY.

I had used WINDOWS 7 RC and it seemed to work ok

I just got my hands on WINDOWS 7 the official release on 22 oct 09 and I have to say it does not work at all and it has more problems than the RC did.

Firstly it crashes when doing simple things like inserting the power cord into my laptop yes it crashes and restarts and I know it’s not my computer because it has never done it for the 1 year iv had my computer with windows vista. Also it did not crash in the RC.

Windows media player 12 also SUCKS badly as it took over 25 mins to add my 7000 songs where as in windows vista with media player 11 it took only around 10 mins to all all my songs.

The new ms paint SUCKS I try to crop my picture and when you move it to where ever you want it either goes smaller or bigger n I’m like I didn’t want there!!!! Least vistas paint got it correct even from it release date.

This new taskbar with icons does look a lot better than the normal taskbar and the jump lists are useful but you know when you have like 2 or 3 documents open or your using live messenger id rather just be able to click the flashing taskbar not have to wait for pretty little thumbnails to appear and then click its slow I want to talk now not tomorrow.

These Libraries FAIL because when I use the start menu to go to my documents I would like it to go to my documents NOT LIBRARIES why not make a start menu link to saying LIBRARIES not make them the actual links for my document, music, pictures also I was trying to upload an image to skydive and each time I clicked it my unedited image would upload although the thumbnail showed my edited image hmmm.

Also they was suppose to be giving new control panel well hmm its exactly the same as in vista apart from you only get 3 options in windows 7 of the thumbnails where as in vista you could choose the size you wanted with the little button and slider.

Start up in windows 7 also IS NOT faster than in vista either.

The desktop and taskbar look nice but what is under it all and I mean explorer IS UGLY and has everything the same as vista apart from vistas looks nicer and is easier to navigate around, 7's just seems like its not all there its not very solid and is all over the place.

I am deffo going to be going back to windows vista immediately as IT IS ACTUALLY A GOOD OS especially with sp2 it is rock solid. Even benchmarks are saying XP is last, Windows 7 is second and Vista is in the lead (in tearms of using new stuff which isnt either in xp or is behind <slow> in 7).

An since windows 7 was vista I fort you would of kept up with it and made it the same or even better NOT WORSE .

i say XP is old, Vista is kinda new and now a fixed os and still being improved and Windows 7 is a joke and just a quick put together to win some attention.

If any of you have had problems with 7 post here and just tell us what you think of windows 7.

Most of what you're hating, you can disable them.
And to the OP and this user, since when did official copy and/or MSDN copy mean torrent files?

Oh please, stop being so damn dramatic. Your claims are so insane it's hard to even take you seriously.

You sound like this: "i installed win7 and was like 'omg i dont have cascading menus' and it also wouldn't sleep when i hit the power button it just powers off i hate this os i went back to win 3.1 and it works MUCH better. win7=fail".
