Has anyone tried using RMClock within Bootcamp?

Didn't try RMClock, but I did just try SpeedStep without any luck. SpeedStep cannot change the CPU speed at all. It just stays constant. I will try RMClock though.

Update: I think I got it working. It's at minimal speed right now (~260Mhz), but runtime has not changed. I can feel the speed difference too. The laptop is very sluggish, but that is expected at a Pentium II speed. Haha...

i guess apple won here, no wonder so many Mac users think windows is crap, its because windows DOES run like crap on a mac. (none of the issues in this thread have ever happened to me on any of my PC's)

this goes the other way too, OSX is a POS on anything other than a mac, every update killes network connectivity or some other device on most netbooks

Really? So far Win XP runs better on my iMac (in terms of programs/windows, etc. opening quickly); the only issue I've run into (so far) is I can't install Pinnacle Studio version 8, the installer just craps out after it hits 100%.

Kevin, are you trying to undervolt your CPU?

Well, pr5owner, its just not true....

I have been running window XP ( and now Win 7) for over a year on my Mac and am totally satisfied with the Windows performance. To me, it is all about available memory: my MBP has 4gb of RAM and Windows and OSX co-mingle with no real issues. I am not doing CPU/GPU intensive apps, just browsers, Fusion, Word, Excel, itunes and Skype on the OSX side and MS Project and MS Visio on the Windows side. A true detente with peaceful co-existence!
