I remember my friend had that but it's nowhere near the original in terms of its security holes.

1) if your school is a member
2) which departments are eligable
HK is Hong Kong, so unless you're already in the neighborhood...1dterbeest said:where? what is HK? I need a semi-legitimate version pretty soon I think.
YoNeX said:1. Most schools are in it. Heck, even my high school is in it and it wasn't even that big of a school. I even saw a bunch of community colleges in there too, so I'm pretty sure they got every school in there.
2. At my brother's school, it apparently is open to all students. But at mine, its restricted to the CS major (luckily I am a CS major, so nothing to worry about).
Just look it up and see if your eligable, if you are, your getting some goodies for great deals.
To those people ripping off serials: I'm suprised you just don't look at the OEM sticker. According to the Microsoft ToS, all OEM manufacture must display the XP license clearly somewhere on the case. Anyone can just walk up and copy the serial. No need to even run any programs to get it.
Yes there are many schools listed, but not all of them have a link to 'get software'. Also in many schools its only open to the CS dept. I'me enrolled at Axia College, University of Phoenix (online). Axia is not listed, however numerous campuses of the University of Phoenix are. However only one or two had links to dl software. I e-mailed the schools tech support to see if they are a member but so far no replay. Great deal if you can get it though.breakfastcrew said:so they give you two options either download it and they give you a cd key. or they mail you the media cds? Do you know if they mail you a retail copy or a volume licensed disc?
If you are from WI per your profile, then I think a round trip plane ticket to Hong Kong would be a bit more expensive than just buying a normal copy!1dterbeest said:where? what is HK? I need a semi-legitimate version pretty soon I think.
