got rid of winterboard too. now that annoying 'tap and all of a sudden your icons still shake like they're ready to be moved' thing is finally GONE.

you're absolutely right. I was wondering what my iPhone's issue was until I noticed I am still running winterboard although I didn't use custom logos or anyhting.

every second time when I wanted to start an app the icons began to shackle like they wanna be moved to somewhere. I even could not answer calls because the unlocking was delayed for more than 20 seconds.

So annoying.

Winterboard (sadly) slows down my iPhone. So everybody having this issue: just uninstall and you'll be find. Believe me.

kudos

Good News for people who want to SSH theme and have a custom background. I read on another forum that someone downloaded Winterboard, deleted all the sample themes it comes with, and then created a theme of ONLY a background image labeled Wallpaper.jpg. They claimed to have little to no slowdown/lag. I just tried this, and I can testify that this works!

This is all some promising news. The only thing I do with winterboard is replace weather bug with the Apple Weather icon and Bloomburg with the Apple Stocks icon to make my home screen look as Apple as possible! :p

EDIT: Just re-themed with SSH and removed Winterboard! Let's see how she do!

Would it be possible to actually replace all the default image files with the ones used for a particular theme and get rid of Winterboard entirely? I'm not one to change my theme from day to day, if at all once I have the theme I want. I've thought about replacing the default images, but I'm just wondering about what that might do.

I just did that. Looks just as good as it did with Winterboard. I haven't really noticed much of an improvement though, but there has been some.
