Hey thanks Trunkster, that worked perfectly.

Now when the update DOES come out do I need to delete this plist or should I just uninstall it all together before the update?

You can do it just to be safe. People in another forum were saying that the info.plist contains more info then the original com.saurik.WinterBoard.plist file so they seemed worry about it messing up things in the futuring. Creating the file on your own though is the same as what the update will most likely do.

in what way does it use ur own wallpaper on the lock screen or on springboard?

It takes the lockscreen wallpaper and applies it to the background of the springboard. I personally like the lockscreenbackground "theme" available from Cydia because it dims the wallpaper so you can see the white text of the icons.

i worked out to get user background to work.

u have to select "user background" (so it has a tick next to it) and the drag it to the top of the list that way it makes it more of a priority than the other stuff

After trying out the user background setting I am unable to change my main lock screen wallpaper. The background that was set before trying this option is pretty much locked in and when I try to set a new wallpaper it says it is set, but when I check it is still the one that was previously set. Anyone else with a similar problem and anyone else know how to fix it?

I didn't like this new feature either I thought this happened because I was playing around with customize and winterboard but maybe this is just a problem with winterboard? I was able to fix it via ssh by deleting /private/var/mobile/Library/LockBackground.jpg

So far it hasn't happen to me again, but I use Lockbackground for winterboard now, not User Wallpaper.

question?

i downloaded the suprise theme for winterboard (all i'll say is it is wierd), i then deleted it but now i have a file called ".DS_Store" in winterboard and i aint got a clue what it is.

Can somebody please help.
