I ordered a wireless charging 3 in 1 pad since Apple obviously is not shipping one any time soon. Here is what I ordered:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CP45WQW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also ordered a wireless charging case for my AirPods since again Apple is not shipping one any time soon. Here is what ordered (you get $9 knocked off the price when use code AIRPODS20 at checkout):

https://9to5mac.com/2018/09/13/hyper-wirelesss-airpods-charging-case/

Now I will be able to charge my iPhone, Watch, and AirPods wirelessly and simultaneously.

UPDATE: Today 3/29/2019 Apple Announced AirPower is cancelled. Guess what? My little baby is till kicking. Not quite like AirPower in that you have to place the devices on the right spot but it gets the job done with no issues.

Wow when I ordered the pad earlier it was immediate shipping. Now shipping is Oct 3rd if you order now. Apparently I wasn't the only one with idea.

That 3-in-1 charging pad looks pretty cool. Mind checking back in here when you get it and let us know what you think?

Hope that works out for you but it makes me nervous that the description is so poorly written. I always worry that 3rd party accessories like this are going to catch fire or somehow ruin my phone. Please do post back with your experience once you've had it for a bit.

SE Penna.
Not sure the S4 watch can be charged with 3rd party chargers as its Qi but proprietary. I like the Samsung Duo charger. Expensive but 2 devices at 7.5 watts

Have I got some great news!! I received the wireless charging pad. It's awesome and so far has not heated-up one bit. Now here comes the big news. It charged my Watch 3 LTE!! Yes it did. I also received my AirPod wireless receiver that makes the AirPod case wirelessly charge on the wireless charging pad. Here are some pics. A red light means the pad is ready to charge and a blue light means a chargeable device is in place. You can't see the blue light for the phone because the phone is too big. However, I did attempt to take a pic of the phone's charging symbol so you will know it's charging. The watch is charged to 100% but was at 97% a little earlier when I placed it on the pad. I will let it drain and take picture of it charging later. But for now, you can see it has blue light. Also, it charged the phone while the phone was in its leather case.

I am running WatchOS 5.

If this is what we have been waiting for I will stick with my morphie setup.

It's not the perfect setup since you can't place the watch anywhere but in the middle. However, it does not take up a lot space, it's very lightweight, and so far no heating issues. It works for me until Apple ships their pad.

Ok here is the pad charging my Watch 3 LTE. The Apple Watch 3 is definitely capable of being wirelessly charged. vRRWljFGSKydAHIpjH98%A.jpg

Hope you enjoy it. Like I said I have used the Morphie for over a year now and it has worked withou flaw and is a good bit smaller.

This charging pad worked like a charm, unfortunately it lights up the room like a Christmas tree. I had purchased it for hotel travel, but returned it for another pad that was mich dimmer. Either way, most of these charging pads will all work, provided you have the AirPod charging case easily found on Amazon.

Jesus god that thing has more LEDs than a Christmas tree. HARD PASS! NO NO and NOPE!

Precisely the reason I returned it.

Can you share the pad you got? Does it charge an apple watch as well?

Sure does, got this one, but found it about $15 cheaper on eBay. If you search “Apple AirPower” on eBay, it’ll come up.

Aipaconn AirPower Wireless Charging pad For Phone and iwatch with Anti-Slip Rubber for iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X,iwatch 3/2,Samsung Galaxy Note 8/S8/S8 Plus, S7/S7 Edge and Qi-Enabled Devices https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078XFVLRQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_gP6OBbP38ZKTN

That's looks like a nice one. It only charges 2 devices at a time and costs slightly more but it's very nice, especially since it does not have all the lights. Good selection.

Is this pad still working well? Is it big enough to charge an X and XS Max at the same time?

Still working well! The charging area is small by design and doubt it should charge 2 phones. Amazon has a pad with the watch charger in the middle and pads on either side, that one works too but is super bright.
