It Worked!!!

Heck yeah it worked....

I don't know why it suddenly connected to the internet today (when the security was off) when it wasn't doing it yesterday. I don't care though.

Thanks a lot for the support!!

Glad to hear that. You should be able to get WAP going now.

Happens with mine everywhere here on campus...Out of 5 wirelss networks, the little piece could only connect to one. Welcome to iPhone:rolleyes:
My iPhone connects to everything, my cheap routers at work, my airports
and every wifi at McDonalds etc. Never had a problem loading anything.

OK perhaps you all could help me again. I am in a new location at the moment and want to use the WiFi that is provided. I have easily connect to it (it's WEP), but the internet is now slower than the EDGE. Why is this and is there a way to fix the settings or something?

Ok I think this is a belkin issue. Now it has stopped working all together and is now saying the same thing as the original poster was receiving.

The router is also a Belkin

Most universities use 802.1X authentication over Wi-Fi networks. Ask your computer services dept if this is the case. If it is, you'll have to wait for the update that supports this method of authentication.

If it has a lock, then it requires a password. Make sure you select the correct type of password (pw or ASCII/Hex, if I remember correctly. It shouldn't show up in the list, if there is no signal, so not sure what's up with that.
