I don’t plan to upgrade from my 12.9 M1 2TB iPP, but I would if they offered a larger say 15” iPP M3 with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 4k resolution. About 50% of my iPad use is movies and TV, the black bars are annoying enough to upgrade.
You should really wait for 43” iPad Pro Giga then. It is expected to be best used while making it rest on your chest for couch reading.

When the 11” IPP gets a better screen, that’s when I’ll replace my beloved 2018 11” IPP. It’s interesting that my IPP went from being my absolute best portable screen, to my “worst” (it is still a good screen) in comparison to my MacBook Pro and iPhone.

I’ve thought so many times about moving to the 12,9”, but I always come back to the portability factor of the 11”. And I have bigger screens if I need them.

11” it is. For now… 😊

I love and still use my 2018 11” iPad Pro as my main content creation & media consumption device. I got it over the 12.9” because it felt more like a true tablet. Easier to hold with one hand & draw with the other. I probably will update it when the OLED iPad Pros come out. Was toying with the idea of getting the 12.9” this time for the extra screen size…but I really like the hold ability of the 11”.

I will probably end up with both eventually since they serve different purposes for me, I will start with the 13 inch Pro. Its replaced my MacBook as my portable computer, so I'd like to stick around the 13 inch size.

I will upgrade when either (a) my current 12.9" iPad stops working or (b) when they come out with a 14" or larger iPad.

I would go 12.9 again for sure. I’ve just started incorporating my M1 into my photography workflow when I travel (which is quite a lot), so I can leave my 16” MBP behind. The iPad covers all my working on the go needs. Using Lightroom to edit on the road wouldn’t feel the same on a smaller screen.

I hadn’t considered that when I got the M1, so ideally I need more than base storage I currently have.

Unless something amazing happens in 2024, I'm sticking with my 2020 iPP until the end. It has been a very solid device for me.

With iPad Pro pricing is about the same as or might more than certain MacBook, unless iPad Pro is certainly needed for an iMac or MacBook replacement and , for me, who is using iPad as a secondary device, it is not worth upgrading unless it is broken or too outdated without receiving any updates and very low battery health (always needing to get charged).

AMOLED iPads have been the rumor prior to 2018. Would not be surprised if it will be delayed to 2028.

Defo won’t down size from 12.9 - I have just about everything crossed that the next IPP will have a landscape camera. That with OLED and the ability to extend screen (mine is 2020 IPP so no extending) will be just perfect for me.

I am literally waiting while thinking what my new set up will be :) Do I stick with current keyboard.. do I get a trackpad with it… or do I go mouse… do I get an arm for the iPad to sit on our do I adjust my current set up so i can keep it on a MK…. ?!?! oooohh.. so many choices.
