Well, this is encouraging. I just hope they don’t forget the everyman with budget conscious models, if they plan a Pro version.
Tomorrow marks the 5th anniversary of the purchase of my Mac mini. Safe to say I've been waiting 4 of those years for an update. We use our mini as a home theater, and been wanting to upgrade to 4K TV capability.
With the lack of update at today's event, I am about to throw in the towel and start searching for alternatives. Maybe an older MacBook or such. Or even go with a Windows option.
Anyone else ready to throw in the towel on an update?
Yeah and how many F@*#ing dongles will it require to attach all the peripherals that EVERYBODY has but apple can't seem to accommodate?
I'm pretty much done with Apple hardware at this point.
Who says Apple can't innovate? Slowly removing functionality over the years is not how you make something PRO!

Another brainwashed person. Dongle on a Mac? You mean adapter? Did you guys get mad when apple got rid of the vga port? The iMac pro didn’t get rid if USB A ports why would you think they would on the Mac mini?Yeah and how many F@*#ing dongles will it require to attach all the peripherals that EVERYBODY has but apple can't seem to accommodate?

On a desktop, honestly, who cares? I have all kinds of crap hanging off the back of my Mac here on my desk, and it doesn't bother me one bit because I don't have to lug it around.Yeah and how many F@*#ing dongles will it require to attach all the peripherals that EVERYBODY has but apple can't seem to accommodate?

is it time to give up
The great thing about our current Minis is that they'll still be better than the 2018 version.Apple did an iPhone event in September followed by a Mac event in October 2014 and 2016. I predict there will be enough Mac and iPad news to justify an October event this year as well.
