My iPad Pro M1 is 95% of workflow and while the Magic Keyboard does great job, man hunching for long periods of time hurts.

Hopefully this helps. Looks pretty cool.

this is just a stand, convenient (and probably expensive) as a stand, but nothing more, and nothing that cannot be achieved slightly less conviently with much less money. It turns the iPad into nothing that it isn’t already…

Applied your logic to the iPad Pro that you proudly display.

"this is just a tablet"

I own many cheap stands, it works but as I said my neck hurts.

This is a very niche product they made, so I get higher price than other stands since it only works for the iPad Pro and iPad Air 4.

Just like the iPad Pro is priced higher than the regular non-pro iPad.

There's a price point and quality for everyone.

Yeah, and it will be $149 - a lot for just a stand.
Yeah way overpriced. I got this stand from ABOVETEK for $39.99 and it is perfect. It is solid, sturdy, and more adjustable than the one in the video. Looks like a huge waste of money, but who am I to say? I spent $99 on the stupid Apple Smart Folio 🤪

I have this version of the same stand and it works great for my 2021 12.9 iPP -

damn that's ugly.

Plus it's $99, not $149

"I own many cheap stands, it works but as I said my neck hurts." Is that because you bought cheap stands with short elevation? There are a lot of quality stands out there that work fine.

And don’t forget to add shipping, import tax and the fact it’s on Scamstarter (as a long time user my rant is too short and long overdue).
Not as fancy, but cheaper than the early bird alternative:
More with these no brand names can be found on Amazon and Aliexpress, built in the same factory as the KS project.
I use this simpler one (with Logitech Combo Touch)

this one literally screams cheap! and the clamp for holding the ipad - yuck!

oh and it's pretty hilarious reading complaints from apple-users about something being overpriced. it's not like the apple brand has the best track record for giving you the best bang for you buck (especially in the consumer segment).

Isn’t it funny? Apple people are a weird breed 🤓

Some people like blondes. Some people like brunettes. Some guys like fat girls. Some guys like skinny girls. Some guys don’t care if the girls are fat or skinny, because they like guys instead.

I prefer a solid clamp to hold my iPad on its sturdy metal stand for only $39. Others might prefer an overpriced magnet that is less functional.

Life sure would be boring if we all liked the exact same thing. 😎

Cheap? It's been working for me for 4 years with 12.9 iPads with cases on.

Hold up. You guys are in an APPLE forum. Apple puts DESIGN priority in the forefront. That's why we all go goo-goo ga-ga over it. But when it comes to stands or cases, or anything that is an accessory...oh yes, let me put my $1000+ iPad Pro on a $15 cheapo stand.

Cool. Apple fan logic.

I get it for my 3 year old non-iPad. It's ok to use $30 Stands. I use them and yes, they are still ugly just functional. But Also, I would like a nicer stand as well.

Is that cool with everyone? Sheesh. haha.

Cool? Absolutely. We're all free to spend our money as we desire and I don't begrudge your purchase in the least. It's a nice looking stand and appears quite functional. I differ in the opinion of ugly but that's a subjective view and of no matter. And no, I wouldn't use a $15 cheapo stand for my everyday desktop use with my 2021 12.9 Pro (price of the Pro being irrelevant to the price of the stand, functionality being the main concern for me).

I think you're missing the main point. Its not about price. Its about functionality for you. $1000 iPad is worth it because it functions very well. $30 stand is worth it because it functions very well.

One look at the amount of bokeh in that video tells me enough about their "DESIGN" values...they're imitating a tried and true formula, and I guess you're the type they're going for

My $40 stand seems more sturdy and functional than the overpriced stand in that video. Less chance of having an accidental scratch put on it too relying on the magnet and rubbing of the 2 hard surfaces. Mine has a nice metal weighted body, strong hinges, and the clamp has padding. Enjoy your overpriced stand. I’m happy with my cheapo 😊

No hard feelings 🍺

Can you just let these people enjoy their damn stand? Why do you have to rain on their parade?

There are many magnetic iPad stands already available in the market. And, those are really less expensive.

This seems like a subtle advertisement/promotional post by @MiloCody ... well done buddy! :)
This Kickstarter is already fully funded in an hour!

Previously I used to get lots of innovative items from Kickstarter (e.g. Pebble watch, Amiigo Bands, Eone Bradley Watch etc) , but now I find most of the items at Kickstarter are just higher priced cheap copied version (with slight improvement) of Chinese innovations. And these new Kickstarters never ever deliver the products in time, always delayed by months if not years.

Not a bad looking stand - I like magnetic attachments, not sure on the U shape power cable, why not have a pass through in the stand and charge through the 3 pin connector. Would have been a cleaner look.
