...but do not sell it on ebay you will get scam
SAYS WHO? Define scam re eBay. I've alway sold my iphones (3g, 4, 4s, 5, 5S, 6, 6s, and 7 on eBay and never had a problem EXCEPT for a couple of newbies (zero eBay ratings) who "won" my auction, but then didn't pay. That's not a scam, but it is kinda crappy.

Why would you post this when I directly already said that others had success selling the iPhone X prior to the September 12 Keynote announcement:
In my NON scientific memory, in general, iPhones depreciate about $100 or so from the previous used phone prices, leading up to the keynote and then mildly recover thereafter. I've been getting lowball bids of $550-$700 since I advertised my phone on eBay. Then, I got a winner at $750. The only problem, he then didn't pay. A zero rating. Same thing happened last year.
I'm trying Swappa now, but so far, no joy.
FYI, I have an X with 64 GB, perfect condition, no dings etc. The problem as I see it is when Apple raised the bar to 1,000, they guaranteed we would be lucky to get $700 for it. On eBay, there are several NEW phones (they say unopened), listed for $750.
I'm about to rationalize the sale of my X by trying for $650 and telling myself, it only cost me a buck a day. (1,000-365).
My previous phone sales were about $200 less than the price I paid, but that was when the phones cost about $700.
A sane person would say, "what the hell am I spending $1,000 for a phone for and then spending another $125 a month to use it". No one will ever spring for that deal."
