Check it out!

Barista has been named the "App Store Pick of the Week" by Apple! I had to pinch myself when I saw it yesterday. 27,000 other apps out there and they chose us!

:):):):):)

Chuck.

PS - We now have a Twitter feed if anyone wants to follow us: twitter.com/baristaapp

Barista is on sale for 99c!

Okay, we've SLASHED THE PRICE OF BARISTA TO 99c to celebrate being Apple's Pick of the Week... Be quick - limited time only!!!

Click here to get it before the price goes back up again.

:) :) :)

Congratulations!

However, I would've left the app at the previous price, to see how much higher your sales are from Apple promoting it. It might be difficult to see what effect it has on your sales.

Thanks Darkpaw,
We did see the results of the first two days at full price after Apple named us Pick of the Week, and on the second day they were already sliding a bit so we thought we'd go all out and see how much time we could get in the limelight... :)

i'm a novice coffee drinker (my coffee order is regular, 2 creams, 2 splendas) so this is a nice way to learn more about the more "high maintenance" side of coffee.

i bought it.... someday i'll order a "complicated" coffee drink.

Thanks uicandrew! I hope you find yourself making much more enjoyable espresso. :)
I have a feeling we've already peaked in terms of sales, but I'm hoping not - I want to get to #1 in Lifestyle at least ONCE!!! :(

Congrats!! I love the app especially after they installed an espresso machine at work! I actually have a fun lunchbreak now, since I can experiment different drinks now. I even make some for my favorite coworkers.

Wow, this last week has been great - I underestimated the power of being Apple's Pick of the Week.

Here are the rankings we reached around the world in the Lifestyle category:

#1 in New Zealand & Sweden
#2 in Finland & Denmark
#3 in Australia & South Africa
#4 in the UK, Malaysia & the Netherlands
#5 in Greece, Singapore, & Canada
#7 in Norway, Hong Kong & Russia
#8 in Israel
#9 in the USA & Thailand
#14 in India
#15 in Hungary
#16 in Perú
#20 in Romania

Thankyou Apple!

Those horrible Romanian tea drinkers are ruining your stats Chuck

LOL... You know we actually got up to about fifty-something in Lifestyle on the French App Store - I never thought I'd be teaching the French how to make coffee! Not so much of a mention on the Italian App Store though. :p

Haha :D! As you have a financial interest I won't draw you into a discussion on which country has the most over-rated coffee (both Italy and France in my opinion!) and the greatest need for your app. You need to stay impartial ;):)!

They called it expresso

Yeah, I saw that - it's a pet hate of mine too, but I shouldn't complain! :)

Barista on sale for 99c but ending very soon

Just in case anyone on here wanted to buy Barista - it's on sale for 99c to celebrate the App Store's 1st birthday but since it's only a one day sale it's about to end, so if you want it, get it now...

iTunes link

Bought your app a while ago, and without it, I probably still wouldn't be getting the milk part right. Your tips helped me with Latté art too, though I've only managed once :p Would recommend the app to any coffee nut in need of advice.

Thanks for your feedback Aidan! It's so great to hear positive feedback about things you've created.

For anyone else who was contemplating whether or not to get Barista, I've just changed the price back to 2.99 but it will likely take a few hours before that change shows up in the app store. ;)

Drat - was hoping to get in at 99c. Guess I'll have to pass. :(

We just got my wife an iPhone yesterday and this app is right up her alley. I followed the link to the app store but it says $2.99. Is it not "today" anymore?

Yeah, quite fancied trying this app out but a day doesn't seem to last a day anymore! Still shows as 59p in the UK store but won't let you purchase it as it states there is a change! Oh well guess I'll give it a miss.

Congratulations, but for such a fantastic app... the icon sure is ugly as ****. A simple brown background with a cappuccino or something in big in the middle (with gloss) would be far better in my opinion.
