You posted that your app was on sale for $.99 for one day. I checked the app store 8 hours after your post and the app was $2.99. That's an awful short day. WTF?

Hi, sorry you missed out. If you read my post again, I actually wrote that the one day sale was about to end (I didn't post that message at the beginning of the sale unfortunately, but I thought it might be worth mentioning here before the sale was over completely).

Anyway as I said if you've decided not to buy it this time, I'll try to remember to notify you again by PM the next time we do a sale if you'd like that.

That's a bit rich isn't it? Chuck is far from a spammer. In fact it would be nice if more devs were as restrained and informative as he is.

Hey, calm down!

No 1, The thread is 4 months old, not a year.
No 2, I thought that posting in an existing thread was less spammy that starting a new one.
No 3, I've been a member of Macrumors since 2003 and only an iPhone developer for the last 6 months.

I don't understand what I did wrong. I would have posted here about it sooner if I'd thought of it, but unfortunately there wasn't more time. It's not like I said that it was open-ended and then just changed the price back up.

Look I never meant to get anyone upset, I thought I was doing a good thing by letting people know, even if there was only 5 hours or so remaining.

If anyone else feels mistreated somehow, please PM me and I'll try and resolve all issues on a per person basis. My apologies to anyone here who is upset, I did not intend this in any way.

My bad on the one year old thread statement. I knew the thread was older and assumed a year based on the "1st birthday" part of your post. I overlooked that it was for the 1st birthday of the app store.

When most announce a sale, they announce it at the beginning of the sale, not when the sale is about to end.

Forget about it. I should have announced it here at the beginning of the sale but unfortunately I clean forgot to. I'll try and remember for next time though.
