The thread title should be called "Least good of the Silicon Macs".
The ones being voted as the "worst" just reflect peoples different needs, preferences and budgets, not that they are bad choices....none of them are bad.
This is a very misleading thread for any prospective purchaser.
I'm pretty happy with my M1 MBP. Yes, it has a Touch Bar, and yes, it's an older design, but it's a really solid machine. And compared to the Intel machines in the same skin, an entire world of difference.
I notice quite a few people voted for the M1 iMac, and I have to say that I am very happy with mine. For what it is, it’s fast, quiet, and is a nice machine if you bump it to 16/512. We can argue about the price after upgrades, it gets a bit pricey to be fair.
The thing is, enterprises used to buy Windows PCs. Everyone who bought a computer for themselves and therefore cared a little bit about the user experience, preferred a Macintosh. To say there's now a Mac, which is such a bad deal that only enterprises would buy it (for their most-neglected employees), is an alarm signal.
