I have a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 MacBook Pro.
Currently using 10.6.8 OS X. If I upgraded to 10.8, it costed £14. I wonder if it worth it? Any news to the next OS?

Do a web search on "10.8 battery life" and see what happens.

I kept SL on my 2011 MBP because 10.7 sucked out the battery's very soul very quickly. Piqued by 10.8, it , so far, does not seem to rectify the battery problem so far... :(

Since Apple made a battery life claim, I'm sticking to that. The newer MBPs must have much larger batteries to promote anything similar to the battery lifespan of the 2011 models...

I did an upgrade from SL to L last year and it sucked ass. Slow as balls and MC was just crap. So I was a bit apprehensive going from SL to ML, but last week I did it and I couldnt be more happy. Just as fast as SL, MC is pretty much as good as expose (I only use 1 monitor, 1 space). So yep, overall happy with ML. I did a clean install with ML btw
