I got the 16GB ... thinking that another model is eventually gonna come out that I'll want and the new iPhone this summer.
That's my thinking too. Just when I hit around 15GB I'm sure a new and improved iPad will come out that I'll wanna buy. And yeah, I'll be buying the new iPhone too (I hope it comes out soon!)

I've considered what size I would want and decided that the 32 GB would be best. 16 is going to fill up fast, 64 is too much money...

That being said, I could easily fall for a 16 GB and afford a dock instead and be happy.

I purchased the 16gb and I think it's more than enough. I have a pretty large iTunes library, but for my iPhone and iPad I just make a lot of playlists and swap out songs/albums I get sick of.

Maybe, depends on other devices you have. Since I already have an iPhone for music I got the 16GB iPad, I figured I would be mostly using it for web browsing, email and app use.

I would return it but I think the restocking fee would eat up most of the money I would save downsizing...

16gb will be enough for me. I usually compress my movies also so it's usually in the 700mb range. 32 or 64gb is cool, but overkill for me.
