I like the Apple TV2 and it works fine. I miss not having a HD to store my purchased media. I could use a 1-2 TB HD for video and music that hooks up to the AppleTV 2 or 3 via USB2 or 3. I would like to transmit my media to any AppleTV in my house.

I would like to see other internet media and NFL TV.

ahhhhhhhh.....sounds much like what I have now. Except being in Oz NFL TV really isnt in high demand.

Is not 1080p

Is downgraded to 720p

I assure you the files are 1080p. ATV streams and decodes them just fine, then does the downconversion to 720p. The point is, it has the horpsepower to handle bitrates associated with decent (but not typical full blu-ray) 1080p materials. Whether the current ATV can ever output 1080p to a display, e.g., via a firmware update, is unclear.
