Got my MP 2008 from ebay.
Asked the seller if he would sell one without the hard drive and video card and he agreed and knocked 150$ off the price.
Works perfectly.

I got my MP (1,1) off of Ebay. The video card died shortly afterword, but I had already ordered a new card the day I bought the MP.

It has been steady as a rock since 2008.

As another post said.... Ebay is ALL about picking a seller with 100% positive feedback. If you make sure they insure the item and ship it with a a reputable company, and not dropped off at the post office, you will be fine!

ive sold and purchased over 300 things on ebay with MINIMAL issues.

Got mine

I got mine off ebay from a reseller and I am happy with it overall, paid about $1300 for it. Only problem was the shipping, the seller had good feedback and I was even able to call and ask questions about it, but when it came to packing he did it all wrong. I ended up with a bent corner on the rails, it was not worth the trouble for fighting about cosmetics, machine runs great and I saved a lot of money for a 2009 model.

I would buy from ebay, however I'd make sure that it is a very good seller with a great reputation. However, you are covered with the buyer protection program for the first 45 days after if you should have any problems with the item and cant come to a solution with the seller
