Just did the math. 15" 4:3 is actually bigger than 2x 10.5" iPads side by side. That's like 4x iPad minis. :rolleyes:

15" at 3:2 will get you exactly 2x 10.5 iPads side by side, I believe.

If you want to stick to 4:3 aspect ratio, then 14" diagonal will get you a short side that's the same length as the 10.5's longer side.
 
Somehow 12.9 could be 13.5" if Apple removed the edges as did with 9.7 and made it to 10.5". I just don't know why not happened with 12.9.
 
No but I would love a 14" screen crammed into the space of my 12.9 pro. Those bezels are useless.

And make it a true 4K display while we're at it.
i'd rather keep the 12.9 size and trim the bezels down to make the device smaller
