To be honest.. It would take more than a bigger iPhone to get me back. The iOS itself has gotten stale. More specifically, the task manager on the phone is lacking more utilities. Closing each app one by one is annoying and I dislike how I cannot 'preview' them.

Also, the home button should have another feature. Perhaps, a touch capability to it.

To be honest with ya'll I LOVE to debate. I am soo happy the mods created this forum, because other than some babyish mudslinging, the conversations that were the most stimulating and controversial were the ones that live now in these sub forums!

If someone was slagging stupidly on Apple, I would debate the good qualities and vice versa with Android.

Google is on there way up. They have this work ethic where they have an idea, release it (most likely beta) and see what people think about it and how they use it. If it doesn't work they not afraid of dropping it and starting from new with something else.

If it kicks off they still use user-feedback to take it further in the direction demanded by the end user.

My point: if you like this iteration of android you'll probably love what is still to come as they keep getting better (from android at least I don't know what direction iOS is going)

5.5 please....but it HAS to have a very slim bezel, and obviously they have to up their game just a tad. Don't care who takes care of the maps or what not I belive they'll do a good job at it but I want a OS that has features and not just runs apps.
I would love to have a 4.65 inch iPhone, same as my Galaxy Nexus. The only problem left would be how iOS does a terrible job of filling the needs of advanced users.

How would you qualify a regular user versus an advanced user. Comparing the two OS modding is pretty simple... Flash roms from different dev teams keeping up with the latest leaks and baked in goodies for android or installing packets on a JB iPhone. Having done both the iPhone mod system although not as deep appears to be much lower risk than flashing roms. Rom flashing is finicky depending on your individual device components. What flashes well on one gnex didn't fare so well on another.

Now getting into terminal emulator to change code direct is exciting and can also lead to boot loops or bricks within the android devices. I havent tried that with iphone and not sur if you can. From a hacker perspective android is very deep.

Once AT&T included tethering with their data share plan they negated the screen size debate for me entirely.

I have an iPad, and it more than caters to my larger screen needs; it does it better than any phone ever could, and I don't need to resort to a platter phone like the GSIII or Note.

A regular user is content with a stock iPhone.

An advanced user needs to have either a jailbroken iPhone or an Android device.

I think that Apple set the standard when they released the original iPhone. As touch screens have got better consumers have wanted larger screens (hardly any phone on sale barring the iPhone is that small). When the first iPhone came out a 3.5 inch screen was adequate, now, it is recognised that the screen should be larger, even Apple think so, they are (allegedly) giving the new iPhone one.

I switched to the Lumia 900 from the 4S, and now the 4.3inch screen feels a little small. Im eyeing the GNexus and its 4.65 inch screen with a little envy.

I never left.

But:

My iPhone 4S was demoted to secondary use.
My GSG III with it's spacious 4.8" display is now my Primary phone.

Once Apple comes to it's senses (if ever) & includes a full sized display, I'll be happy to return it to my Primary Smartphone.

I don't think Apple are interested in serving Jailbreakers needs if that is what you are classifying as Advanced users.
Obviously not, as jailbreakers are the opposite of what a jailer would want.

Nah, it's the complete Android package that I like.

I sometimes get iPhone envy because my Android phone doesn't sync with my iPad as well as an iPhone would (iMessage, iCloud etc.), but other than that I don't really care for the iPhone.

My rationale for smartphones these days is: "go with whatever OS that can emulate the functionality of a desktop so I can do more" and right now Android fits that bill. Once another OS like say Tizen does that better, I'm moving on to another OS.
