I loathe Facebook and do not have an account with them. I do, however, have a Twitter account and enjoy the integration with iOS.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for any deep iOS-Facebook integration. It's no secret that Facebook is working on their own phone so they can have a real mobile strategy and revenue stream, not to mention even more data about you.

I think fb was the original choice until negotiations broke down? Wasn't it, hard to remember that far back even.

I prefer Twitter over Facebook, but only a few people I know use Twitter -- most use Facebook, so that's what I end up using.

Why is there a Twitter app on the app store but not a Facebook, Tumblr, Netlog, DeviantArt, MacRumors app? Seems a bit silly tbh.

Not sure why this needs to be either/or. The integration of Twitter is an option on iOS just as I'm sure the integration of Facebook would be an option. But, if I had to pick just one I would have gone with Facebook since that's what most of my friends use.

I have not once used the twitter integration in iOS 5. I'm just not a tweeter. I feel like a LOT more people use facebook and would prefer to have that integrated. Let's see if I'm right. Which do you want?

There doesn't need to be either.

Facebook's popularity is taking a nose dive. Lots of people are leaving.

No one will be using Facebook in the next 2 years.

Neither. Facebook is for keeping in touch with people. Twitter is for following sports people. Neither are very important to me as far as integration is concerned.

Twitter is more for what's happening right now, whereas Facebook is about what happened yesterday. In this respect, posting to Twitter is a lot more instant and suits iOS better.

I prefer Twitter but use Facebook as well. My tweets update my Facebook status so it's all good for me.

no need for both in iOS; save the space and effort.

If someone need/want to use Twitter or FB thats perfectly fine with me (and I have both). But I still prefer an app or just browser for it. It don't need more.

I really hope that Apple ensure soon that apps can only access to other data (address, calendar) once confirmed (like today with location). Then I would feel better; once I can control what the app can access to.
