Oh my, title says it all. Mac even got low power mode before iPad
EDIT: iPadOS has low power mode apparently. Anyway macOS 12 still got more features and that was rumoured to be a minor update.

Agreed, i am stuck out in china due to this pandemic and in this country i could not buy the cellular version of iPad 12.9 M1 due to some dum 5g related laws. Anyway i ended up picking myself up a 2018 model with cellular as i just wanted a new ipad so badly and could not wait anymore until i get to the UK (currently had been using the iPad Pro 2015 but needed the upgrade so i can start using the new magic keyboard which is awesome)

I now feel like i am not missing anything after watching this announcement. Did they even announce one thing that won’t work on my iPad 12.9 2018?? I could not see anything but maybe i missed something. I mean what they announced on ipad today will even work on my 2015 iPad 12.9 pro right?

I am super looking forward to downloading the new iOS for the few extra multi tasking features though they will be very well used in my work flow

Can anyone tell me when we can start using these new features?

This was my first WWDC event i ever watched. Since moving from windows to a MacBook i have new found love for the apple ecosystem and i am really keen to start using these types of new features the moment they come out

???? iPadOS looks great. I will definitely use multitasking more than now. The notes feature is very cool. Grabbing text out of photos is very cool. Universal Control will be very useful. FaceTime screen share will be very useful.
When can we download this and start using these features ??

In my opinion it sucked a bit as i could not see any benefit for people that just brought the latest M1 chip iPad Pro

There is an element of bait and switch here. Inadvertent. You give them the best you've got, and they get the crazy idea that there's this other stuff that must be there.

Can't win :D

I’ll give Apple credit for the improved manner to invoke multitasking. Currently, it’s like not intuitive at all to know what gesture to use.

Don't jump the gun. iPad got low power mode as well. It's in the beta. Looking at it right now.
Picture please. Even though iPadOS was still underwhelming than macOS 12. macOS still got more features.

Cool features, but I'll use them once when testing them and never ever again. Like most features these days :p Need something more substantial to make an iPad more than a consumption device.

That’s for the apps you run, surely? These apps are already in existence and do already benefit, and as they get updated to better support the m1, they will get better.

Unless you buy and iPad just to run iPadOS, and if you do I gotta ask why ?

added a little flare, but i guess I need a pencil to up my game. I hate pencils! Keyboards and fingers 4 life. In other news, the new Safari is wacky, not a huge fan out of the gate.

On a personal, if I ever wanted iPadOS to replace a Mac, I would need a clipboard manager amongst other things. iOS 15 feels like a step in the right direction, but obviously their goal is not to recreate the Mac. Either way, still love using an iPad for the things it excels at.

I know. I know. I understand it does more than that, it's just a goof. The display is still likely the #1 battery hog for most users most of the time. I still love the Mac too, and having a low power mode everywhere is great.

No full screen monitor support.

embarrassing
I’m disappointed too, it would have been nice to have a more fuller support than is already there. I wish more devs would at least support what is already in place.
I don’t think I’m embarrassed though, either for myself or for Apple.
