I haven't been excited for WoW content since Ruby Sanctum. Just hasn't been my style since then, and raiding just keeps getting easier and less intimate. (queuing for dungeons and raids) I will however be getting a 2 month card and leveling a toon from 1-80 for kicks before my other favorite game comes out...still miss the old stuff;)

Haven't played wow since wrath of the lich king. Got around 7 level 80 toons I did have a go on the cataclysm trial but wow was a tough habit that I had to kick. I miss it sometimes but as has been said I just don't feel as involved raids are easy and pvp requires no skills. Best days where back in the vanilla wow period when pvp meant something and raids where a proper guild affair. Can still remember getting my final piece of tier 2 in blackwing lair and nearly deafening everyone on ventrillo lol. Besides I don't really have a machine capable of running it.

I'm looking forward to it myself. I just decided to cancel EverQuest II and go back to WoW again. Some people complain about WoW being easy-mode but frankly, I have a life outside of any single game I might play and I am glad WoW is as casual friendly as it is. Given the numbers of people playing I guess I am not alone in feeling this way either.

So yeah, bring on the Pandas! I'll be rolling a Horde Panda Monk myself!

I mostly quit WoW a couple years ago, but got back into it about one year ago for about a month. After the starting area for the new race, it's all just the same thing over and over again. I still miss the old days of 40-man raids.

Exactly the reason I quit. I loved the 40man BWL MC and AQ40 raids back in vanilla wow. Burning crusade wasn't too bad but wotlk ruined it. The game got too easy, gearing up could be done without even raiding. I remember collecting the judgement set on my paladin and it taking me a good few months worth of raiding. Yes they have made it easier for the casual player but imo they have made it less rewarding for the dedicated raid teams out there. I would go back but I need to buy a machine to play it on first (trying to convince my fiance to let me install it on her intel macbook).

This is the first WoW expansion I have not bought, it feels weird that it's out in a couple of hours and I don't care!

I';m kind of at this point as well but i'm trying to hype myself up for it this afternoon. haha. the beta was fun but it is a lot of having to learn to do the same stuff over and over

I'd like to try it but I know I won't play it enough to justify even buying it, as soon as I killed deathwing last expansion I dropped the game and didnt play it so I don't want to just play the same stuff over again.

Watching all the videos and other people getting excited brings back great memories though.

I haven't played since Ruby Sanctum:( I'm still not excited for the new content, maybe next expansion will be better. I know if I do end up buying MoP i'll still have to get Cata to play it...and a time card. That's a big investment...all while not having my old guild. Sadly I can see myself just playing the old content and not even using the new expansion, since I don't even have an interest playing the pandas. Maybe i'll just get a time card instead.....or get Guild Wars 2, i've been meaning to try that, and they have a beta for Mac which i'm extremely supportive of:)

I gave up having to kill 200 pigs etc to complete a quest years ago, to be honest I am past the point in my life of getting exited about being a panda in a game.

Yea, panda seems silly. However, can't you play some type of monk class now? I am just barely interested in it and haven't been following it, but it seems like that could be fun.

Wow marks one of the, possibly the more cherished gaming experience of my life. But I'm now playing GW2 and Planetside2, but don't have the passion I had for the original WoW or the original PS. I think I've matured since my WoW days.

I'm still level 87, but so far the experience has been brilliant. Level designers should get a monument, its that great.

That said, I'm a semi-hardcore raider and hate leveling, but this is just awesome.

Judging from beta footage the raids are going to be of the highest standards as well and with 18 bosses (compared to recent 7- and 8-boss tiers) it really stands out.

Completely agree with you. All the others, since Burning Crusade... I've rushed out to get.
Unfortunately. this expansion is not unique or inspiring. I liked Kung Fu Panda, the movie. I don't want Kung Fu Panda in my WoW game.

I simply could not play WoW without constantly thinking 'SKADOOSH!" every time I see a Panda. I'm even more surprised that Dreamworks hasn't sued Blizzard for copying Kung Fu Panda, as the likeness is obviously copied.

I'm glad to hear this! i want to be excited for this expansion!

I tried out pet battles and they seem pretty fun. just like Pokemon

I was not planning on picking it up but it seemed that destiny had different plans. I had an active subscription even though I haven't played in months (got the year thing for free Diablo 3), it came out on payday, some of my friends came back to it, and the day after it came out I found myself with a day off in a hotel with free internet. It was too much. I broke down.

So far I am thoroughly impressed. Something about Cata just seemed off to me but Mists is very interesting and the music is especially fantastic. I am really enjoying the monk class and Pandaren starting area. My first few hours were some of the best gaming I've done all year. Good job, Blizzard.
