I think the apple store only has the stock mac pros if they have anything at all. bluetooth is only online, and only BTO. and when you add those options when buying online, it gives you an estimated ship date. not trying to bash in anyway, just a heads up.

That's just a formula, it has little to no correlation to the actual ship date of the Mac Pros. It's just your order date plus a month and five days. (I ordered on the Aug. 8th and have an estimated ship of Sept. 13th; people who ordered on Aug. 7th have a Sept. 12th estimated ship, and you ordered on the Aug. 11th and have Sept. 18th as yours).

I ordered on Aug. 7th and have a ship date on Sep. 5th and it should be here on the 12th :)

8 weeks!? WTF indeed!

It's too bad Apple has only one in-stock model of Mac Pro's in stores, makes it a pain for those of us who want even slightly changed systems.

Playing with the Mac Pro configuration on the Store online, it's 2-4 business days for most changes, and 3-4 weeks for the X1900XT.

I ordered mine on the 18th, and it says Shipping on the 18th of september, arriving on the 25th.

I think it's bull crap. It's gonna ship much sooner.

I ordered mine last night (Sunday, UK time) - 3Ghz CPUs, Radeon, Bluetooth/Airport, 2GB RAM, downgraded hard drive and it's showing a ship date of September 25th and a delivery date of 27th September, i.e. five weeks from now.

In one way it's good, as I won't have to pay for it until October/November when my credit card bill arrives, but the wait may well be painful.

if you wanted bluetooth you could have just bought a USB bluetooth adapter, and skip getting it from apple

And I suppose you prefer women wear granny panties instead of victoria's secret?

Sleek & Integrated for me instead of ugly and hanging off.

Ordered 8/7/06:

2.66 GHz Quad Xeon
2GB 667 DDR2 FB DIMM ECC-4x512
NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB
250GB Serial ATA 3Gb/s drive
16x SuperDrive DL
Airprt Extrm & BT 2.0+EDR
Apple Kybd & Wrls Mgty Ms
Aperture
Mac OS X

Ship Date: 9/12, Est Arrival Date 9/19.

Of course I have a monitor (23" HD) and a Applecare pack already :( Really hate that they ship in pieces.

I will NEVER use Bluetooth, but I got the BT module anyways for increased resale value.

You do know it's very doubtful that you'll make up for the BT module cost in the resale value down the road, right?

You can change that option, you know.

I ordered the Pro with the X1900 and Airport/Bluetooth on the 7th, I'm hoping it ships now.

Or now.

Aaaand.... NOW!

I've been doing this for 2 weeks. Not stopping anytime soon, it would seem.

24 hours is bad enough! (Ozzie Mac Pro)

I ordered my Mac Pro on the 11th, with blue tooth, and extra ram, and recieved a shipping notice yesterday, 5 days ahead of schedule. It'll arrive tommorow morning, I just hope I'm not already at work, and have to wait another 24 hours!

I specifically did, and they waited a day or two and stuff started shipping. I've called before and yelled at them when they did it to my iMac G5 back in '04 but never seems to help. They give me some 'in order to make sure blah blah' about customer experience and what not

I am using my stock Mac Pro NOW while I wait for my Mac Pro AirPort kit to come in from Power Max and my X1900 XT upgrade to come in from Apple. I didn't want to wait.
