unless you are new to macs you should know that powermacs were notorious for long sipping times when they are announced.

This is my first mac that I have purchased...I have been using them at work but decided it was time to have one for myself...so I'm new to owning a mac, but not new to using them...

I'm also really impatient...heh

What SIPPING times are you talking about?;)

I got the dreaded Sept 18th shipping , had a better one since I ordered on the first day but the order went sour via human error on Apples side, so I was put back but got expedited shipping, if the human did that properly.

But was told that this is merely a fake date and will ship earlier.
If the human was telling me the truth.

I think that the video card is what everyone is waiting for in the human assembly lines.

Blame the upgraded video card.

Muhuhahah

Sorry... I just had to say... I picked my mac pro up today....wooo hooo... it's beautiful. So damned quiet, and with a flick of the firewire cable I'm on my new mac pro, with a one hour setup.:)

And yes I'll be waiting for the airport card. :)

Firewire FLICKS?

Are you saying you got the standard configuration.

He can always use ethernet while he's waiting for airport card!

The D-Link DWL-G122 wireless adapter works with the Mac Pro and can be had from Radio Shack for $19.99 after rebate.

No I got 2 gig of ram with blue tooth, and yes my ethernet is fine.

(Sorry I wasn't clear about the firewire, I meant I copied all of my programs and files from my Powerbook with the fw connection. Worked very well.)
