With cell phone maturation settling in. Apple piece mealing features, and removing others, and ignoring popular demand. Also, the pace at which Android OEM are innovating.

Basically, is anyone "genuinely" excited for WWDC this year!? Like I'll watch and even be somewhat giddy, but with no AOD, PIP, SPLIT SCREEN I'm sure it'll ultimately disappoint me. Too, the rumored phones don't seem to be getting received very well.

When dark mode is the smoking gun in 2019, I can't help but feel Apple has lost a step. Unless there's a surprise tomorrow, I can't help but feel they have. I'm just getting tired of supporting them being stodgy. I'm inching ever so slowly toward wanting to give Android a shot, but not for real. I just want Apple to listen. Which I know they won't.

Anyway, let's sound off until tomorrow and after!!!

I fondly remember the days I would set aside several hours at work and watch live blogs, and then live streams once they began to be offered. Those days are gone. I’ll check out a recap at some point later in the day. Actually, I don’t even know what day it is lol. Guess that shows my level of interest.

The Real highlights for WWDC this year is for the iPad with iOS and watchOS 6. Lots of improvements across the board expected, I know the hype is surrounding ‘dark mode’, (which I’m in indifferent to). WWDC is probably more crucial in terms of what they deliver versus hardware in the fall, because this sets the stage for what keeps Apple users so loyal, is iOS and the changes made in terms of performance/security and convenience.

Not really interested in android oems features or Pace. If I believed android oems were innovating I would get an android device. Don’t really have android envy.

I’m actually pretty excited to see what iOS 13 will add to my iPhone XS Max.

I also have an Apple Watch so aod is pretty redundant for my use case. Pip or split screen also doesn’t interest me on an iPhone screen, don’t really like it on an iPad mini screen either.

I would rather an iOS 13 update allowing users to take full advantage of the second sim on the iPhone, dual FaceTime and dual imessage from one device is a feature I’m looking forward too.

I’m pretty excited for dark mode as well, don’t believe that means apple has lost its step giving users what they have been asking for.

Any added privacy features as well as face id updates would be welcome as well.

Switching to android would be too much of a compromise.

Yeah, I'm feeling the deflation already beginning. There's only one leak with two hours to go, of the reminders app.

Sigh...

For iPad users I think it could be a great upgrade...hoping for spilt screen on iPhone though
Yeah that’s what I really want on the iPhone too. Don’t think it’s coming though.
[doublepost=1559576192][/doublepost]Hopefully there will be some good updates for the HomePod too. All I really want for the HomePod is to be able to control playback of content I’ve bought from iTunes when it’s connected to the Apple TV. I just want to be able to say hey Siri play X TV show and for it to start playing on my TV. You can already do this with an iOS device so hopefully the HomePod isn’t far behind.

WatchOS and iOS for the iPad look good.

There are some android software features that I’d like on iOS such as split screen apps and pip, something like Dex and some more customisation. However I think apart from the google assistant android hasn’t really been that innovative in terms of software for a few years. It’s on the hardware that I find android OEM’s more interesting.

Got everything I wanted and more.

New privacy features, dual sim FaceTime and iMessage, faster Face ID, wireless headphone sharing, homepod continuity and faster app performance.

iPados was completely unexpected and that new xdr display is insane.

Super excited for iOS 13.

Indeed! I hope the iPad Air 2 is supported otherwise I’ll have to add a new iPad to my wishlist. The iPad 9.7 2018 has 2GB RAM like the iPad Air 2 though, so there is definitely hope of iPadOS coming to Air 2

Air 2 is indeed supported by iOS 13.

Thanks. Just seen my 2014 MBA is compatible too. Happy days.

Hopefully people will start downloading the betas soon so we can see what features are available for which devices.
[doublepost=1559590037][/doublepost]It seems the cut off is 2GB of ram for iOS/ipadOS. Sucks for people who have the iPod touch 6th gen though as it was still on sale last week.

Concerning iOS, sign on with Apple was the single best thing I saw.

In retrospect, seems like it should've always been, but will be welcome nonetheless. Even better, that it'll coincide with Face ID... LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

However, WWDC was much as anticipated a "very" quiet showing for iOS, this let's me know that next year with A14, iOS 14 and iPhone XII!? That 2020 is REALLY GOING TO BE THE YEAR OF iPHONE!!! With all that said, I'm glad I set my expectations accordingly.

What about you guys!?

I thought it was a good event! The only thing I could have asked for on iOs was split screen apps for the iPhone but oh well. The iPad features were really good as were the watchOS features. Even TVOS got a few updates and it was nice to see the HomePod not being ignored.

Thank Goodness that Dark Mode is coming. This is like the number 1 feature that I ever wanted since the iPhone X.

It was a good event overall; that's why I specified the iOS portion as being very quiet. :D
