Really? For your future reference when making such claims:

WWDC June 2006 - Introduction of the Mac Pro
WWDC June 2008 - Introduction of the iPhone 3G
WWDC June 2009 - 13in MacBook Pro was unveiled; 15in/17in MacBook Pros refreshed; iPhone 3GS introduced
WWDC June 2010 - iPhone 4 introduced
WWDC June 2012 - New models of MacBook Air/MacBook Pro, and MacBook Pro with Retina Display
WWDC June 2013 - New Mac Pro and new MacBook Air introduced
WWDC June 2014 - No hardware.
WWDC June 2015 - No hardware.

So I think it fair to say that when Apple has something to introduce, they introduce it at WWDC.
Have you not noticed that the products you listed have moved to new release cycles to make more room for software talk at the World Wide *Developers* Conference? iPhones aren't released in the summer anymore, they release in September. iPad and Mac come along a couple months later in November. Also, an entire new OS needs talking about at WWDC as well, watchOS.

And you don't sound much like an Apple Fanboy. You are saying everything, and I mean everything a Google Fanboy or Windows Fanboy would say. You are saying iOS and OS X are falling behind other platforms, doing nothing but playing catchup. You are saying there isn't enough innovation even though it's staring at you right in the eyes. You are saying there needs to be a redesign when there was just a new redesign less than a year ago. You are saying there needs to be more features with every release, but then will likely turn around complain when it is buggy, quirky, laggy, and stuttery.

Go and get a Surface Pro 3 to enjoy Cortana and that lovely kickstand you were talking about. Get a windows phone to complement your tablet choice. You obviously will never be satisfied with iOS or OS X, so go save yourself from the stress and suffering that every Apple announcement causes you. Please. Because none of us want to hear or deal with this.

Lol u r a fool. All iphones, all iPads, the apple watch.. All three of their top selling products WERE NOT shown at WWDC.. But yeah mate they announce everythin at these developers conferences..

Also.. Ios 1, ios 2, ios 3, ios 4 (im naming them all stupidly because you did) ios 5, ios 6, ios 7, ios 8, ios 9 were all announced at the DEVELOPERS conferences

If that's your way of saying you were wrong, I accept.

You seem to just simply not understand that thing change. Hardware now has a new time frame. And WWDC is now where developers go to get help with their code and get help with the new API's released in the new iOS.

You're either trying to get a rise out of everyone and stir everyone up, or you just truly don't understand that "the times they are a changing."

I think OP needs to complain less and look up what WWDC really is, because despite 29 posts and multiple people telling them it's a software conference, they just don't get it...

Also, if you're not happy with Apple products, we don't care. Go buy an Android/Windows Phone and hopefully you'll be satisfied.

If not, then start your own company.

Seems to me some equate innovation or excitement with hardware and thus if Apple holds an event where no hardware is announced its considered boring and not innovative. I don't get it with WWDC though because it's a software developers conference. Hardware should be a bonus not something expected at WWDC.

OS-wide Metal integration is by no means a "small tweak".

Sure, they keynote may have been boring, but the stuff that happened after the keynote - you know, for developers, is amazing. I'm still not done watching all of the session videos to catch up on all of the new tools and technologies.

This was a great WWDC for developers. I like to think of the WWDC keynotes as presents for bratty kids who are going to their friends birthday party and can't handle not also receiving gifts.

Why would a company with Apple's abilities and resources release operating systems with "jarring glitches and bugs" and not take the subsequent year to resolve them through incremental updates? That's the time for stability improvements and enhancements. The annual cycle should be reserved for leaps forward. Apple seems mired down devoid of any new ideas for OS X and iOS.

I don't think you understand what it takes to build software. Go manage a software development team and then get back to us.

Longtime Apple fanboy here, but gravely concerned about the company's current path. I found WWDC 2015 to be utterly and completely uninspiring. No new hardware at all. We are long overdue for a mid range iMac refresh, not to mention an iPad Pro and Apple TV. Apple has always been about innovation, creativity, new products and technologies that change us....

Are you f***** kidding me?

if you are long time apple fan then you should know that apple is on a well thought and well designed and steady path! Apple will not introduce a half baked product like google or Microsoft. Google glass anyone? You think MS HoloLens will have a better fate? Many people consider those innovations! I don't! Will only consider them innovations when they are sold and used by zillions changing how they think about technology. They are far far from that! Good concepts they are but far from a complete execution!

Apple on the other hand will announce a product that is ready to ship and consumed by the masses while raising the bar considerably in that product category! Apple was never first building a smartphone, but when they did they got it right! they never build a netbook but gave you the macbook air and the iPad! Are netbooks being sold today? no! its all about tablets and really slim air like laptops! Its early to tell but yet again they were the last ones to introduce a smartwatch but got many things right since its something you want to buy and wear and use! Again they are probably the last company to offer music streaming service but i have a feeling that they will get it right considering the big investment in buying beats!

Innovation is not about announcing a cool X or Y feature but pushing the whole apple ecosystem forward steadily! and thats exactly what they are doing, metal and swift are big parts on the low level of this ecosystem

Integrating metal across iOS and OS X and boosting performance and battery life considerably IS Innovation!

That's not how innovation works. :\

5 years ago was the last time they introduced an iPhone at wwdc. Have any iPhones been released in September following a wwdc? What does that tell you.
