Yup, that's definitely going to happen.

I guarentee there won't be an iPhone nano. I heard from a friend who did an ad for Apple's 2nd gen nano that it will never happen. Yes, I know things change, but I doubt we'll see one until the next few iphones really take off, like to the point of the RAZR. For now, don't get your hopes up.

Its not that bad when its working good.

Just out of interest are you a VW Corrado fan, just guessing from your username. I love Corrado's but unfortunately insurance companies aren't so keen on my age the buggers!!!

My first car was a 90 Corrado. Still miss the car to this day, but i dont miss the price i had to pay for some parts that needed replacements.

iPhone 3G is coming to the US but is it worth it? the 3G iPhone wont be able to take advantage of the 3G speeds because AT&T doesn't have a Nationwide 3G network!

Tmobile customers are out of luck (in the US) because Tmobile doesnt have a 3G network in the US!

so I hope Apple will come out with some new hardware features like Bluetooth with A2DP and 802.11n and iTunes Movie Rentals on the phone!

did you even do a little bit of research before you opened your mouth? ATT is rapidly expanding 3G coverage and T-mobile said that they will have 3G in late summer

Apple is known for spreading bogus info about new products. They are not going to say to the guy who designed 1 advert for them "Yeah, were making a new iPhone, just dont tell anyone!" are they???

Yeah, I was being sarcastic.
There's a 0% chance of an iPhone nano.

Edit: GPS will definately be included, considering the lower power chips available. I'm also thinking we may see live tv, but probably not.

A new iPhone will need: 3.5G (HSPDA), GPS, video calling, 2.0, mobile TV, 16GB and 32GB, better camera with video capture, MMS, Bluetooth file transfers...

Thats, or at least most of that, is what it would need to get me to throw away my iPod touch for one.

How could you know? There is a chance that an iphone nano will come. What if the mass majority of smartphone users have an iphone, and peopl who don't want to pay for a full iphone only buy from nokia, samsung etc. Then it's maybe time for a smaller iphone with less capabilities and certainly a smaller price.

We all want multi-touch on our desktops, but we don't want to have to elevate our arms the entire time while we browse the web, look through pictures, etc. We feel comfortable looking at our displays at eye-level directly in front of us and don't want to stare downward at our screens, at least not at our desks.

We could meet somewhere in the middle with an angled display, but we also don't want to drop a few hundred or more on a new multi-touch capable display/tablet. Not all of us, at least. How much would we be willing to pay to bring multi-touch to our current machines? $100-$200? I might.

This is why I predict the Mighty Mouse Touch at this year's WWDC.

I think the company will split in two, with iPhone/iPod/gadgets etc one half, and Mac Computers the other. The computer side will whither away and die within 10 years.

It's possible that we will witness a scenario similar to this, but I wouldn't count on the Mac side whitering away or dying.

Consider this. The gadget side of the company may have borrowed some Mac concepts, but these gadgets have built themselves up as their own division of Apple more than they've been pulled or split away from another division. This makes both divisions very independent but also both very strong.

Instead of one of the sides dying away, I think we'll see them merge. As portables become faster and more desktop-like, these devices will become more attractive to those craving tower power. Since speed and power improvements are inevitable, the biggest obstacle I see is the interface. Laptops seem to be the bridge between gadget and workstation for now, and the evolution of all these devices will lead to ultimate convergence.

Here's a totally shocking prediction:

Some Mac developers meet up, watch some Apple developers on a stage talking about how to utilize certain things in Leopard and Cocoa Touch. They get given a demonstration of these features, and then go off and use them to make sweet sweet applications for our benefit because developers are nice like that.
