I was recently playing Bioshock on the MBP and felt a little uncomfortable with the keyboard scheme, so I tried the XBOX 360 wireless controller. It felt much better in terms of the control and movement, and even added vibration which helped set the overall feel. Can anyone tell me if there will be other games that integrate the 360 controller as well as Bioshock does? Also, do older games work well with controller on the MBP? Has anyone been able to get the controller to work on the OSX side versus windows?

Sorry for asking so many questions, but i could not find any answers through google or any forums.

$20 Wireless Dongle from Microsoft and I believe there's a some guy who wrote a Controller driver for Macs.

I believe that all games that sport the "Games for Windows" logo are required to be compatible with the 360 controller if it makes sense. So not like RTS games.

there are free drivers for 360 controllers available so you can use it with most anything, i use one for mario kart using sixty force

I recently tried to hook up a wired controller into my MBP and it doesn't seem to work. I downloaded the drivers for the 360 controller btw but still no luck. anyone else having issues?

Hello!

I just got a macbook pro and I started playing bioshock...Does anyone here use the controller? How does it feel?
I also want to play assassin's creed, crysis, gears of wars and call of duty 4,
Can I play all these games in the macbook pro 2,2 2g and 128 video card via bot camp of course...

Thank you for your two cents...

I've been playing call pf duty 4 for a while now...and I still believe it is easier to use the controller...
Isnt that better?

wireless XBox 360 Controller playing BF 2142 with tattiebogle drivers

I was just wondering if you guys have been using tattiebogle Mac OS X drivers using wireless XBox 360 Controllers via USB Microsoft Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows, on your OSX machine playing Battlefield 2142 because I cant get it to work on the game? If you guys can help me i wound love it, thank

I tried downloading the driver that gogojuice gave us but the driver was damaged. Is there any other ways I can use my 360 controller?

Madcatz for $24.99

I just picked up the white Madcatz "GameStop" Xbox 360 wired controller. So far it works flawlessly with the tattiebogle driver. I'm using it for Mame OS X (from Asteroids, to Dig Dug, to Street Fighter Alpha 3), Nestopia, Snes9X, etc..

The analog control sticks work really well for all the old arcade games. I highly recommend it.

I've heard the wireless dongle has a lot of issues right now, including disconnecting bluetooth connections, and killing other usb devices especially those from Logitech. So I'm sticking with wired for now.

I just started playing Gears of War with a wired xbox 360 controller and it does an amazing job! I highly recommend.

Why would you want to do that

Sorry I'm one of those guys that don't like playing FPS without a keyboard & mouse. :p

I don't understand it either, unless you were using the trackpad for aiming I don't see how anyone could prefer a gamepad to a mouse + keyboard. Damn, Microsoft screwed us PC gamers with the Xbox-I-Want-To-Be-A-Gaming-PC-But-I-Can't-360.

At least we get amazing controller support for games like Devil May Cry 4 and GRID so it's not all bad but it's spreading to RTS (how the **** can you expect to play an RTS properly and without a million aids with a gamepad) so now it's dumbing down every genre out there.

But yes, 360 Controller support is required for every game to have the Games For Windows brand, aside from that, every game still works with the generic driver, some require some tweaking (DMC3) but if you use Pinnacle Profiler (amazing app) and maybe opt to download the XBCD drivers then there won't be a game you won't be able to configure the controller properly for.

Xbox 360 controller and COD4 for Mac

Has anyone been able to use the XBOX 360 controller with COD4 in a Mac? And please stop judging us who would like that... hehehe.

Thanks! :apple:

I want to know too if it will work with COD4 on a Mac with xbox 360 controller (wired). I don't care much about being wireless, but I absolutely refuse to play Call Of Duty without the 360 controller.

Unlike most of you, I didn't grow up with diablo and unreal tournament so I could care less if the keyboard and mouse are "better." I just want to replicate the 360 experience on my mac since I don't have an xbox 360. At any rate, the game is still new for the mac so I would think 360 controller support will come officially sooner than later.
