so does anyone actually know if the 360 controller works with cod4 (mac version)? I will be buying a wired remote at wknd to play cod4 (the new mac release) on my MBP and need to know if it works

Anyone?

I can't speak for the Mac version of COD4, but I recently started playing the windows version in bootcamp with the wireless controller. I needed to use the app at http://xpadder.com/ to map all the buttons I wanted. It took some time to get it working properly, but it did work in the end.

The tattiebogle driver is great except for a huge memory leak. The driver adds kernel extensions which I assume are added to the kernel_task process. kernel_task went from using about 250MB memory with the driver installed to about 100MB when I had deleted everything associated with it.

But other than that it works great. The driver supports any game that supports gamepads. So if COD4 doesn't support gamepads, the driver won't do you any good.

COD 4 Mac

I want to know too if it will work with COD4 on a Mac with xbox 360 controller (wired). I don't care much about being wireless, but I absolutely refuse to play Call Of Duty without the 360 controller.

Unlike most of you, I didn't grow up with diablo and unreal tournament so I could care less if the keyboard and mouse are "better." I just want to replicate the 360 experience on my mac since I don't have an xbox 360. At any rate, the game is still new for the mac so I would think 360 controller support will come officially sooner than later.

So does anyone know that this Tatiebogle driver works with COD4 on Mac ?

If anyone is using it, is it wired or wireless 360 conbtroller ?

If it doesnt work, what decent gamepads are there for COD 4 on OS X ?

Cheers !

Phil

But

Ok, so I've downloaded the driver from Tattiebogle and I can see that it's reading every button and stick correctly, but I can't find a way to map these buttons onto another emulator. Like SixtyForce or Mupen64.

I think I remember hearing about a piece of software that helped do that but I can't seem to find it now. Anyone?

I installed the tattleboogie 360 controller drivers, but bioshock doesn't recognize the controller. Has anyone made this work on bioshock mac?

Xbox 360 Bioshock

I downloaded the drivers and Bioshock still won't pick up the controller. I tested it and it functions well while testing it in system preferences

Assassins Creed Help!

Can someone help me?! I was able to connect Xbox 360 wired Control and when I open Assassins Creed I change the control settings to controller but I can no longer move anything after that. It even says that the control is connected but I just can't move anything with it at all.

Actually, Left 4 Dead 2 shows the 360 controller and customizes the interface for it, like a Windows game would, even thought the drivers aren't native. I don't know if the game works with the controller without the drivers installed, but I'd definitely love to see more OS X games supporting the 360 controller specifically.
