Anyone know when this will be released on the MAS? I already own XCOM: EU, will it be DLC or a separate app?
Thanks
The Mac AppStore version will come in the next week or so. Apple have a few special sandboxing rules etc that require changes to the game packaging plus a submissions process to go through so the game didn't make launch day.
We will announce once we get a final date.

But the Mac version on Steam will be available on launch day right? Looking forward to spending my weekend with it.![]()
It's already out in North America on Steam (Tuesday) and will go live in the rest of the world on Friday.
Same day release Mac/PC
Edwin
Any updates on this?

support running on triple monitors, even older games like neverwinter nights 2 runs amazing in 5220x1050 res in windows. And if it's possible, will feral be interested in doing so?
How does Enemy Within mesh with Enemy Unknown?
I've only just infiltrated the first big alien spaceship in EU so I assume I have quite a few more missions to go.
Is EW a separate set of adventures to go on after you've completed the first game, or does it insert it's DNA into the main game/story line?
It's the entire game again just with more Maps etc. It is not like extra missions it is like the same game just with more maps, weapons power ups etc.
Edwin
Pretty sure there are new Council missions, and the Covert Ops definitely count as new missions. And at least one surprise mission I don't want to spoil...
I know Deluge and Furies are definitely new missions, maybe one or two more?
I've only played through the game 3 times so far, but I noticed new stuff with Enemy Within, unless I just missed it in my first playthrough of Unknown?
If other platforms like steam are much earlier to release a game,DLC or updates then Apple they kind of put themselves out of the market.
Not really. A lot of customers don't buy games or apps on day one. We've learned to wait for feedback, fixes and price reductions you know?
Im sort of surprised at how apple is dealing with this. After reading your comments I kinda made my mind up that im not going to buy much via the App Store anymore.

Had the same thing with photoshop elements a few weeks back, current version is 11 in the App Store, but version 12 is already released. for more or less the same price.
Now I can see advantages of having an App Store, but not like this..
Any chance on a discount if I buy the original game again via steam (Already bought xcom via App Store)![]()
My guess is that this hasn't been submitted to Apple yet for review.
I can't comment on release date as I don't have any firm dates (when I do I will post).
We are not sat at Feral with the Mac App Store version ready to be release dressed as Dr Evil saying "Lets delay the game again for Mac App Store users until we get 1 million complaint" while having out little finger next to our mouth.
We are working flat out to get the none Steam build approved by all parties and released. I hope to have some good news soon.

Just to be clear, I don't think anybody is blaming you guys for this, I certainly am not. I completely understand you're putting hard work and devotion in it. It just raises a broader question on is it wise to buy games via the Mac Appstore...
