Well, they did release an update to fix the widget, among a few other things. There are still a few colors that are off with the widget when it comes to scores (in particular with soccer games), but at least it works now.
I still see some issues with my alerts for news and teams not being retained properly or changing to ones that I didn't select for some reason.
And it doesn't look like dark mode is making a come back so far, but with it being one of the biggest things that gets mentioned in the app reviews as well as other places online, it's possible Yahoo! might change their stance on it and offer it at least an option at some point.
