As GM "candidate" what's the likely hood of this being able to be updated in the future? I'd hate to install it and use it as my main partition and then not be able to update.

The prerelease is always upgradable via software update when it becomes final.

Using it as my main OS as well on my iMac (though I made sure to do a time machine and CCC backup of my Mavericks installation prior to upgrading, just in case).

No performance issues so far. Seems to be running as fast as it was in Mavs. A few bugs here and there but pretty solid.

I rolled the dice and went with the GM public beta on my daily driver, and it's extraordinary.

My 2012 rMBP runs smoother, cooler and more stably than it ever has. I'd suffer the occasional freeze under Mavericks... which was one of my motivations for the dice-roll. No more.

Very happy with the GM here. There are a few bugs yet, mostly relating to incompatible 3rd-party software. GPGTools is incompatible, for example. If you need that, you'll need to perform your encrypt/decrypt operations manually. And Dropbox's client doesn't yet make share-links from Finder. Easy work around until that's fixed: use the web view of your Dropbox and generate links from there.

And that's about it. Great work, Apple.
