2013 MBA 8 GB RAM
5 seconds for shutdown
13 seconds cold boot to login screen
8 seconds from login screen to desktop
I did an upgrade from Maverick's to first beta and upgraded to each beta since. Don't have times for prior to upgrade, but as I recall it is faster now with Yosemite. For me that was one of the first things I noticed was shutdown/startup times being faster.
